Ask yourself this question: Do you think in a MILLION YEARS the FU faithful would EVER cheer for UND in the FCS playoffs if their team wasn't in it? Or, to put it another way, if both North Dakota schools were in the playoffs at the same time, would the FU faithful cheer for us if we were in the playoffs playing someone else? I'll answer both of them in two simple words: HECK NO. So I will be returning the favor to them and be cheering for every single team that plays them. That is not low class. That is how rivalries work. I don't think Auburn fans will be cheering for Alabama in the CFP just because "it's good for the whole state". So it is for UND and NDSU.

Agree 100% with this. Letting Bubba walk because he costs too much is not acceptable and should not even be discussed. We'll just end up where we were three years ago, with our team getting blown out at home and the visitor's section in The Al becoming a party zone. I don't want to go back to that. Do you? Faison and Kennedy need to figure out how to keep coaches that meet and exceed their job expectations or we'll just keep treading water.

I don't like how he left in the middle of a season......but I don't hate him or anything. -

I suspect that is where he will end up when his NHL dreams don't come true. -

Adam Tambellini http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=139582 Doesn't look like it paid off for him either. -
"We didn't want him anyway." Gopher hockey fans have used that one for years, so expect something similar.

I imagine the quality of athletes being recruited is part of it. Also, the fact we are going head to head with schools like Montana State and winning recruiting battles is another reason for optimism.

The question now is, who will replace him? Another question is, will he miss the rest of the season with North Dakota? -

Generally, they are considered the default favorite by a lot of people (not all of them Canadians either). -
Didn't know you supported FU football. Oh, that's right, it's a cheap shot at me. Nice, really nice. Not that I give a rat's arse........

Canada is always considered the clear favorite every single year, so let them have that label if they want it. I think Team USA will benefit not having an entire nation follow their every move for two weeks. -
Really? You think our fan base is going to cheer for the Blundering Turds? Come on, you should know better than that.

NORTH DAKOTA vs. WMU - SATURDAY Gameday ********

I don't think we are at the beginning of a long-term down period for this program. Just too many young guys and not enough established players. -

Easy people, let's not turn on each other here. The team still has time to figure it out. But they better do that before the end of January. -
You mean another athlete. The more of those we get, the better.
-
The rivalry between those two was almost as intriguing as the match-up between the two teams on the floor.
-
And this is a good problem to have.
-
Maybe the kid got homesick and/or didn't like the big campus/big city life? Some North Dakota kids don't function well in larger metro areas like MSP.
-
Yes it was. From about 1993 onward, the women's game was hyped way more than the men's game.

The point is, Congress has the power to take away their tax exempt status and their anti-trust exemption. Those are two things they desperately want to hang onto.

That is an amazing statement. For years, UND-NDSU Women's Basketball was a huge deal. It was on statewide broadcast television and even got the attention of Sports Illustrated. Now it is just a footnote of history. Sad.
-
Yeah, there was a guy back in the day who was pretty good too. I believe his name was Jimmy Kleinsasser.
-
The point is that curb stomping NDSU doesn't prove a whole lot because they are so bad.
-
If this is the case, then NCAA basketball is on the same level as Olympic Figure Skating and/or Boxing. Ridiculous.
