You aren't going to get fans back with one competitive season following years of losing 90+ games. People are taking a wait and see attitude towards this franchise.

This is why "zero tolerance" rules are a bad idea and almost always lead to negative, unintended consequences.

I beg your pardon troll? You were making the point that only "big-time" Division I FBS institutions were likely to add Division I hockey. The other posters are suggesting mainly Division II schools as possible candidates to add hockey. And FWIW, I was a student at Central when they dropped "Redskins".
