I imagine the quality of athletes being recruited is part of it. Also, the fact we are going head to head with schools like Montana State and winning recruiting battles is another reason for optimism.
Canada is always considered the clear favorite every single year, so let them have that label if they want it. I think Team USA will benefit not having an entire nation follow their every move for two weeks.

That is an amazing statement. For years, UND-NDSU Women's Basketball was a huge deal. It was on statewide broadcast television and even got the attention of Sports Illustrated. Now it is just a footnote of history. Sad.
