  1. FYP. The Ducky and Bunny Police are on patrol. Tread carefully!
  2. I did read the whole post (it wasn't that long to begin with). My point is that the class system in Minnesota is based on enrollment. Bigger schools have more depth than smaller schools. But that doesn't mean you can't find future college stars in Single A. Lack of depth does not equal total lack of talent. #nooffensemeant And for the record, I love Dixon Bowen. He got screwed out of the biggest goal in his young life last year in Fargo and I hope he gets another chance like that in the future.
  3. So if a kid happens to attend a smaller school, they are automatically inferior? Does the name T.J. Oshie ring a bell? SMH #class2Ahockeysnobbery
  4. THIS x 1000!!! #letitgopeople
  5. Nice broad generalization there.
  6. How many seniors do they have this year?
  7. All the blown leads. The inconsistency. Repeating the same damaging mistakes over and over again. Need I go on?
  8. I agree with you on this point. We don't know what will happen to the underclassmen next year. But their lack of improvement throughout the course of this year is what is alarming people.
  9. The sky is not "falling"......yet. But there are some serious red flags that need to be addressed before we get stuck in a hole that will be hard to get out of.
  10. Today's parity? I thought parity has been around for 10-15 years now. Or are you saying it has become worse?
  11. First of all, I never said that. Some people did, but I was not one of them. Second of all, if you question my loyalty to this program, you will get your a$$ called out. #dealwithit
  12. Which is why Minnesota didn't like being forced to leave the WCHA. And for one of the few times in my life, I was on their side on something.
  13. Very funny (not). I don't care about a tournament that my team is not a part of. I didn't say I didn't care about the program anymore. That is a douche post and uncalled for. #dontgothere
  14. This is simply not true. I have seen teams in all sports at all levels that were loaded from top to bottom terribly underachieve. Phil Jackson doesn't get enough credit for managing all the egos on the Chicago Bulls when they won 6 titles in 8 years. Especially his management of Dennis Rodman. And as people have pointed out, Berry doesn't have a lot of recruits that are solely his and his alone. My main concern is that the players aren't getting better from October to March and that is something that must change next year and beyond.
  15. The time to drop FB would have been at the beginning of our Division I transition. Now that we have built an IPF big enough for FB, it doesn't make much sense. We have little choice but to make FCS football a winner at UND.
  16. ROFL!!! I actually have warmed up to Schlossman over the years. His writing has improved and he doesn't go into "hot goalie excuse" mode as much as he used to. I did laugh out loud at your comment though!
  17. I agree with you on 2016. Berry was masterful in how he managed that team. He pushed all the right buttons and kept them healthy by holding them out when they were injured and/or sick. By NCAA tournament time, they were rested, healthy, energized and ready to roll. And roll they did (minus the tight semifinal game vs. Denver)! Winning that title also led us to losing a large number of players early the last two years. And Berry and his staff have not adjusted well to those losses. That is the most disappointing part of this season; the lack of progress our younger players made from October to March. That could bleed into next season, compounding the problems. My concern is that even two down years could led to us losing ground to programs like Denver, St. Cloud and whomever else. And once you lose ground like that, it is hard to regain it. Like I said, we could bounce back next season. But they will have to fix the locker room issues and have their underclassmen improve over this year.
  18. The team looked undisciplined, unfocused and was inconsistent throughout. That is on coaching. Whatever the problem is (and there are some theories floating around this forum), it is up to Berry and his staff to figure it out and fix it. I think a house cleaning of the roster may be in order. If there are some attitude problems, they need to be sent packing. It doesn't take too many rotten apples to spoil the whole bin. Having said all that, I think we can bounce back next season. We lost a lot of close games this year and had 10 ties. Even a slight improvement puts us back in the national tournament.
  19. So Berry just gets a pass? That is not how it works in a Division I program like this and you know that. And there are a lot of up and coming coaches who would kill to get this job. The program is bigger than any one person.
  20. Sorry, I just don't care anymore. I think a lot of people on here feel the same way.
  21. If we have one more year like this, his seat will get very warm very quickly. I am not calling for his head this very minute, I think we can bounce back next year.
  22. Brewster is "fine"? WBB just had their worst season in about 30 years. "Fine?" I don't think so. Jones I agree with you on. He is down to his ninth of nine lives. Bubba needs to bounce back this season or his seat will get very warm. Berry will need to get back to the NCAA tournament next year or his seat will get very warm as well.
  23. So everything is just fine the way it is? I disagree. -If Berry has one more season like this, he is on the hot seat. Two more like this.....and it's time to make a change. -Same thing with Bubba and FB. If we have another disappointing season this fall, it's hot seat time. If it happens two more years......time to make a change. -Same goes for WBB and MBB. Bill Chaves is the new sheriff in town. He hired none of these coaches. I think all of them are on unofficial notice.
  24. So you are just fine and dandy with multiple seasons like this? I am not. But some people will say "it's all about the relationships", so perhaps success on the ice isn't all that important? (sarcasm) If Berry has one or even two more seasons like this one, a change will have to be made. The program is bigger than one person. The program must come first.
  25. Yes, seriously. Except for volleyball, this athletic department is sliding into structural mediocrity. Do you want to wait until we are winning 11 or 12 games per season before we do something about it? I do not want a repeat of the early 1990's; it was painful enough the first time. The program is bigger than one person (whether it be a coach, player or support staff person). The health and vitality of the program needs to come first.
