There are plenty of places where I can get political news, commentary and so on. I come here to get away from all that crap. People need to can the politics and focus on UND sports.

When somebody floated UND going non-scholarship in FB during our transition, I basically said we are better off without FB than settling for non-scholarship FB. I suspect St. Thomas may do the same thing.

Does anyone have one or both games of the January 31-February 1, 1997 home series vs. Minnesota? That was a crucial series in the Dean Blais rebuilding project. It solidified us as a legitimate title contender and not a first-half fluke. The entire campus was buzzing about the series the week before and the atmosphere was unreal.

It is entirely possible that Illinois and other schools have private donors who are not being announced yet for whatever reason. Don't assume that public money is going to fund these D-I start-ups.

I've been watching these games on my television using an Amazon Firestick (where has this been my whole life?).

Most of the VHS tapes are in pretty good condition. Even the 1982 NCAA title game was pretty good except for that brief part early in the third period.

The 2006 team was also very young and not ready for the big stage. I wasn't totally surprised they struggled in the national semifinals. The disasters in 2007 and 2008 were much more painful and harder to swallow.
