Not to get off topic, but has anyone heard of any plans to honor the 20th Anniversary of the 2000 National championship team this year? Man it would be sweet to see the team wear some old geometric head jerseys!!!

I think the Chaves/Alerus/etc need to give the students 2 more years to show their support for the program to show that they are deserving of the midfield seats. It's not like it any secret that those sections are far from full, even at the beginning of games. I am sure its not the first time Chaves or the Atheltic Department have been emailed about the student support (or lack there of) at football games. As we all are aware, student support around the country is down. So they need to decide if the financial benefit to moving the students and opening those seats up to season ticket holders outweighs any negative results for moving the students to the corner. I think the Athletic Department should really monitor the situation the next two seasons. Given that we are moving to the MVFC, that should increase interest in our fanbase bringing familiar foes back. for the students, it doesn't mean the same as most of us because we remember playing the Dakota schools year after year. they don't. But I don't think it will take too long for students to get hyped playing other Dakota school rivals, especially NDSU. I think the Athletic Department needs to put the students on notice before next season letting them know that while everyone wants the students to be at the games and to fill those sections, failure to do so may result in losing the prime seats at midfield. That way, if they end up moving the student section to the corners, they should not have much excuse to complain as UND will have the numbers and pictures from the game to show the support they are or aren't showing in regards to their attendance at games.

What makes it even worse is when they wear all red jerseys and helmets!! Not sure how there fans deal with this all the time!!! Thanks God this is our last game there for awhile (hopefully ever). (I apologize for blinding everyone with the ridiculously bright red as well as showing a pic that included the knucklheads from the south!!)

If Kett is ready to go, start him. If not, use Schuster for the next 1-2 games. I don't mind playing Schuster. Just hate to have him burn his redshirt because Kett is only at 90%. I'd take a 90% Kett the rest of the season for 4 more years of Schuster. He's the real deal.

We play arguable the two best teams in the Big Sky and two of the best teams in the country. Need to put out best players out there to have a chance to win these games. If Kett is ready he should play. He will have more success against EWU.

It's more annoying than anything else. Even more annoying is when you are reprimanded from a fellow UND fan for waring anything Fighting Hawks.

And Kaepernick still siting at home. If he hasn't gotten the clue that he isn't good enough to be an NFL QB now (even as a backup), not sure he ever will.

A school that has a divided fanbase supporting two different names and logos in something that is tangibly hurting UND. If you can't see that, then you are part of the problem.

So if the schools isn't losing fans, money, or ticket revenue, then people are justified to keep bitching about the name and logo because "it's not hurting anyone" right?!!

Give people the opportunity to buy season tickets at the 50 yard line and I guarantee sections 213 and 214 will have more fans in the stands than the students have week to week.

I don't think a warning is necessary. It's no secret that student attendance is down especially at UND. It has gotten to a point where if and when they move the student section to the end, the response will be "what took so long? Surprised they didn't do it sooner?" Also, the outrage by the tens of fans is something that isn't going to gain much traction.

So the outcry to have secondary logo started probably 2 minutes after the logo was announced. I was in the camp of not doing that immediately so that UND could work on it's brand identity and have just one logo. A secondary logo is likely going to happen. I propose they don't make something totally new but just tweak the current logo. The Hawk head in the ND is a unique look and I think it works. But maybe UND could utilize just the Hawk head with a green or black (even grey) background without the "ND" as a background. I especially think this type of logo would look great on the football helmets as you could have the hawk on both sides of the helmet facing forward. Just a thought.

UND has a unique opportunity moving into next year. Teams switch conferences more often now, including UND. 3 This will be our 4th new conference in the past 13 seasons. That being said, next year we are reuniting with former conference opponents USD, SDSU, and NDSU. Teams that we played for decades. UND's marketing team will be pushing heavy to sell season tickets for football and selling the fact that home games between USD and SDSU are on the schedule for 2020 and NDSU in 2021. How much more successful would that effort to sell season tickets go if you made sections 213 and 214. Fans that are Champions Club members that have invested the money in club fees as well as season ticket prices are much more likely to go to games than students that get free tickets. The students are given some of the best seats in the house for football and are not showing up. I am not saying get rid of the student section. Just move them to the ends and give non students the ability to have the prime seats for games. Much like the majority of other Universities do at their football stadiums.
