Looking at the new photos of the IPF, I think that there would still be room, if they decided to, to build a new stadium down the road at the Memorial Stadium site. The west side of the IPF where the offices, meeting rooms, etc are could be part of the new stadium. If you picture where the stands would be on the east side of the field, they could just be built on top of the west side of the IPF offices. So I think there is still room there. OBVIOUSLY we have to worry about filling the stadium now before we start thinking about a new stadium...but looking to the future is never a bad thing.

What color pants will they wear? I know we are having the "blackout" game against Montana where we will wear the black pants. Curious to see what they wear tommorrow.

Hmmm...I think I will guess the black jerseys!!! Well, then it would not surprise me if the intro was "Back in Black"!! I wonder if they were going to save them but the players pushed for it to wear them tomorrow!!

So what is everybody's guess for the jerseys the team will be wearing? Will they bring out the black for opening night? Or will they save them for the Montana "blackout" game?

Notice the date on the picture....8/30/2012. My guess is the announcement is today, and they will have the pictures at the Alerus for fan viewing tomorrow night!! Oh man....just got goosebumps!! This is deffinitely a "game changer" as Jason said!! Huge!!!!

People need to realize that tailgating is free!! You don't need to buy a spot, bring your grill and go through all that work to tailgate. You can show up and just walk around and there are always sponsers for the game that are giving away free food. If you walk around enough, there are other tailgaters that are handing you food as you pass by. Plenty of free stuff to go around. If you want to go the the Tailgate village to get some Dickie's or Deeks, head over there. Pretty sure it will be reasonably priced. Basically, my point is...get out to the tailgate lot and have a great time!!!

Anyone here what band will be playing at the new "Tailgate Village" on Thursday? Just curious.

It is going to very strange going to games at the Ralph this year. When you walk in the door, everything will be the same. Sioux logos on the floor, on pictures of former players, on the banners. Everyone is going to be wearing Sioux jersey. Then the team will skate out in warmups with "North Dakota" jerseys on skating on the ice without the sioux logo on it. They will seem very out of place. Oh well, Time to move on I guess. Probably going to be the hard to do at hockey games the most!

You know it!!! What time is the lot open for tailgating? I have heard conflicting times. Is it 1pm or 2pm??

I totally agree with you that the Alerus staff can get carried away with their enforcement of their rules. But here's an easy fix. If you can't drink a beer in the student section, don't bring one in there. If they get anal about you putting your feat on the seats, don't put your feat on the seats. If they don't want you hanging on the railing, running up the steps, or throwing things on the field...Don't do it!!! While I do realize that they have rules, that doesn't mean that you can't still have fun at the games and cheer on the team. There are event staff at every arena in the country and they all probably have similar rules to the Alerus. They have similar rules at the Engelstad and I yet students still go to hockey games? Heck, you can even stand the whole game at the Alerus!! My advice, don't let the Alerus staff be the reason you don't go to the game. There is so much more positive from going to a football game that it greatly outweighs the negative caused by the staff that work there.

How bout we all just wait until next year when all this goes down to freak out. A lot can change in a year. So right now we all need to just RELAX!!

I think that is a cop out. As a UND student do you really not know that UND has a football team? Of course they do. Students know when the games are, they know where they are at. Recently they have just been lazy. Not sure if that s because they are too hung over from Friday night to make it to a 1 pm game or waht. I realize that we have had a lack luster team recently, but going to football games is part of college life. No excuse for students not to go to these games. Especially when it is free to go and they give away free food at tailgating!! Hopefully these later starts will help get the word out the day of the game. But the students really need to step up their support. Its been embarrassing!
