Faison wants a home and home with NDSU every other year. Just 2 games initially...hopefully play every other year on a regular basis. So NDSU can still keep their scheduling formula the majority of the time. Only "wrinkle" in it would be that they would come to Grans Forks every 4 years. That is really not giving up to much. Expecially against a team that is your biggest rival that you have played over 100 games with. Its not sacrificing that much. Heck, you are rewarding the Bison fans with an away game that is a very easy to travel to.

Riping on UND for playing Robert Morris.....hmmmm....might want to rethink that statement!!

NDSU can say they are doing what is best for their football team and their athletic department, which may be the right thing to do. But whether it is fair or not, as long as UND keeps wanting to play the game and makes offers to play NDSU and Gene Taylor keeps rejecting them.....It will be perceived that NDSU does not want to play UND because they do not want to lose to them. Maybe NDSU has everything to lose in this game and UND has everything to gain in playing this game....but that is what it looks like. Probably not fair to NDSU because I doubt NDSU is scared of any team after winning it all last year. But look at it how a unbiased person would perceive the whole situation. They may wonder why a school that has consistently said they are better than another school over the years and especially the last decade would not want to schedule a game and prove it!! NDSU officials/fans/coaches/etc can give all the reasons why scheduling a game with UND is not ?in their best interest." But as long as they keep rejecting any offers from UND to play the game, they will be viewed by many as cowards!!

Minnesota doesn't want to schedule NDSU because they don't want to lose to a team they feel they should beat. It would hurt them big time in recruiting. This is the same reason NDSU does not want to schedule UND!!! I don't blame GT. I wouldn't want to schedule a team that I was afraid to lose to either!!

Well that didn't take long!!! I like em!! Anyone else notice the green stripes on the pants too? I really like the green numbers with the white outline. They look sharp!!!

Alright....now the question...will we see a picture of the jersey before they wear them on the field??!!

Playoffs, while it should be a goal every year, is going to be a lofty one this year. With the unfortunate non-D1 game to start off the season, it leaves us only 10 games to get the 7 that is probably needed to get into the playoffs. In those 10 games, 1 is an FBS team and 5 of hem arepicked to finish in the top 5 of the Big Sky. So we are going to need to get some big wins against some good teams this year. If we play good and win some of those games early, it can be done, but it will be a challenge. the good thing is I tink this team is up for the challenge and will definetely be competitive in every game we play this year. Win the games you are supposed to win, and win a couple that you aren't and we will be right there at the nd of the year.

What is the timeine? I would assume that 2013 would be when they join the Big Sky for all other sports.

But can you imagine having Golladay, Hardin, and McGill all lined up with a gunslinger in Hanson throwing to them? Wow!!!

Looking at the ticket availability on ticketmaster, there are still MANY tickets available for the games....even the Montana game. I know that UND football sells a lot of walk up tickets...but with the excitement of this season I would think that we would have at least the Montana game cloe to sold out. Maybe I am being overly optimistic....but there are deffinitely more seats available than I thought there would be after 1 day.

Section 215 is the section that opened up from moving the students down a section. these seats are $90. A little more, but for seats on the 35 yard line, not to bad. I would say for 5 bucks more per game its worth it!!

Have a beer before the game, have one at halftime, watch the 3rd quarter from the endzone UND is scoring at (beer in hand) and go back to your free seat for the 4th. Problem solved

I will be at all the games even if the field was pink. I am a fan of the football team not the turf. Alright, sorry to get this all going about the turf. Lets just focus on the fact we are upgrading our facility and it is going to be better for the team.

The two schools pointed out have a logo at midfield NOW. That is my point I am making. Two schools we are familiar with within a state away both got new turf and have their logo at midfield. Do you see the point I am making? The facilities where those two schools play at were smart enough to recognize their biggest tenant and put their logo at midfield. Newsflash.....Dakota Dome and the Fargodome currently have their logo at midfield. Provide me with current examples. I think the new turf is great. Obviously an upgrade. But I guess I expected more.

Right. that is my point. Venues that you mentioned previously did not have a logo. But they do now. The Dakota Dome and the Fargodome both had a chance to make their field better by adding the logo of the school that primarily plays there. They took advantage of the situation. The Alerus did not. And that is disappointing. Not the end of the world by any means....but disappointing.

I do agree that it is not the end of the world either. I am glad we have the new turf. Just seems the Alerus could have done better with the design. That's all.

FC Dallas Stadium (where the FCS Championship game was played) is a soccer stadium for MLS soccer where there is no logo at midfield. The logo at midfield for the title game was the championship game logo. It is not a college football stadium. And the wiki page example is the Fargodome which currently has a Bison logo now at midfield. I doubt there are many college football teams that play on a field where if there is a logo, it is not related to the school or mascot. That is the point I am making.

Yeah, not sure what more they could have done. The filed is green and the lines on the field are white. Those are already our school colors!! Only thing they could have done was wither make the end zones white or black. Both would have been ugly.
