Sept 19th 2015. Both schools need a game and they both have it open. Get the ball rolling with one game. The demand for more games will be so high after that, even if there is a blowout, that more games will have to be scheduled. And not just in Fargo. Just schedule the first one. It's time.

As far as High School state tournaments are concerned, these are the best locations for the respective sports (IMO) Hockey - GF Football - Fargo Class B boys and girls BB - Minot/Bismarck Class A boys and girls BB - GF/Fargo

Given the number of people in the FM area compared to GF/EGF, it really is a no brainer as far as revenue is concerned. That is EXCEPT the state hockey tournament. If you have one if the nicest arena in the country, and it is built for hockey, you should host all big tournaments in the state. Especially the biggest one hat occurs annually.

Every team will be getting new jerseys once a new name and logo are announced. That's a lot of revenue for a sports apparel company. So it only makes sense that when UND selects a new name and logo, when they order new jerseys would be the time when a new company would step in and make a deal with the University to produce them all.

Even worse was the 2012 Montana game. First game against one of the most storied program in our new conference, it's a close game in the fourth, we score a late TD in the last minute to take the lead and eventually win the game, and the Alerus is a quarter full.

What about the University of North Dakota "Tomahawks". Sure it has a Native American connotation, but can anyone really get offended by a University using an inanimate object for a nickname?!!

Sacrificing 1 home game in 4 years to renew a rivalry that the overwhelming majority of fans of both schools want is something that UND is willing to do. And NDSU is not. We can argue till the cows come home to who ended the rivalry. But there is no doubt right now who is preventing this rivalry from renewing. And that is NDSU and Gene Taylor.

Zero chance that they will ever ban anyone wearing Sioux apparel. Fortunately we live in a country that protects personnel rights like the freedom of speech. You have the right to be opposed to what I am wearing, but I have the right. All good. No need to worry. Wear your Sioux stuff as much as you want!!

Given the history regarding UND and NDSU and their football programs, both schools deserve to host each other at their home stadium. Anyone who disagrees does not understand the history and the rivalry.

University of Findlay (OH) was the only college I could find with the name Oilers. Small private D2 school. So the name is still pretty original. The more I hear the name Oilers as our new name, the more I like it. That being said, I don't want a green and white Edmonton Oilers or Houston Oilers logo. We need our one identity.

If they want to make a relevant joke about the situation, they should have made it Florida State. Because they actually have a mascot that dresses up like an Indian and currently have a Native American nickname. UND has neither.
