Late reply, but school A was Michigan State. But Duluth and Sconi probably have similar results.

Let's compare 2 schools over the past 10 years: In the past 10 years, School A has 1 leaugue tournament Championsip, 4 playoff appearances, 1 Frozen Four, and 1 National Championship. In the past 10 years, School B has 2 league championships, 4 tournament championships, 10 playoff appearences, 6 Frozen Four's, and 1 runner up. So I guess you can debate which school has had more success in those 10 years, and if the one Natty trumps all. But, IMO, Shool B has had more sustained success over those years. And that is a bigger feat than 1 season flash in the pan.

So what would you rather have. A coach who year in and year out is one of the top teams in the country and legitimately competing for a National title every year or have a team that makes the playoffs every 3 years or so? We have made the playoffs every single year Hak has been here. If his job is in question, that every coach in the country should be considered on the hot seat.

Runningback may be the biggest thing that the team needs to adress. Shaugs and Simmons should be back, but getting a stud FBS transfer would be huge. Bubba has shown that he is commited to the running game. Controlling the ball and having long sustained posessions is a formula that works. Also, if they can establish that solid running game, it make it so much weasier for the passing game. I honeslty think that Studrud will be the starter next year week 1. I don't think Molberg will be close to healty by then and I think that the coaches really like Studsrud's athleticism over Bartels. an offseason and spring and fall ball will really benifit Studsrud and help himfeel more confortable back there.

It all starts with defense. Give your offense a chance to win the game. Didn't have may of those opportunites last year. This year was a different story. Our defense will only get better next year. Our offense can only get better with guys returning from injury.

I would be very surprised is Molberg was ready by the start of next season. Achilles injuries take a long time to heal. I think it's gonna be Bartels and Studrud competing for the starting job.

Do you really think that Air force personnel at the GFAFB are going to offended by the name Warriors? I get the PC police are bat s%@t crazy. But that is a little rediculous!!

Yes!!! Someone else is on my Warrior bandwagon!! Does not have to reference Native Americans so the NCAA PC police won't be on our backs. Can be a tribute to all men and women who have fought fot this country. And specifically our frends from our locan Air bases in the state (one of which is just up the road)! The Warriors of North Dakota!! Jump on everyone!!

Notre Dame the school is a big deal. Nortre Dame the hockey team is nothing special. A couple conference titles, a handful of playoff appearences, and a frozen four under their belt in decades of existence. In the eyes of college hockey, they are nobodys.

He's right. No speculation. Settlement states UND needs to select a new nickname. The NCAA made sure that was in the agreement knowing that no nickname would result in the perpetual use of the old nickname.

On the survey, people were asked to rate who should have a say in selecting a new name. What I really hope they do is take the consideration of all interested parites. Students, alumni, faculty, etc. I think what everyone would want to have as an option would be for their to be a list of say 20 names that everyone gets to vote on. And then narrow that down a few more times till there is a clear "favorite" that a potential committee would decide to adopt. We all can agree we don't want Kelley or a sMALL commitee naking the decision without any imput. I would think the results of the survey would show that people want a say in deciding the name.

Who is offended? Anyone doesn't want to just be known as just the University of North Dakota. Which is more than you think. Of course we all wish the Fighting Sioux name could live on forever. Well that is not going to happen. Any name chosen will obviously not be as good as the Fighting Sioux. But it is time to move on and select a new name that will honorable and that fans can get behind.

The NCHC wanted Notre Dame. There is no doubt about that. But the TV deal they were demanding was too lopsided towards benifiting just one school so the NCHC passed. Was St. Cloud the second option, of course. But it doesn't meant that they never wanted them. I would take St. Cloud over any of the remaining WCHA or CCHA schools.

And when did Notre Dame finally become relevant??....what 2004?? Notre Dame is relevant in name only when it comes to hockey. As far as hockey tradition and success, they are about at the same level as St. Cloud.

Warriors. And that doesn't have to mean native american warriors. But all warriors who have fought in battle. What a great way to honor all the former, current, and future "warriors" in our US military!! If you think the NCAA would have an isue with it, they can explain what I just said as who it is honoring. Then let's see the NCAA come up with a "no people related mascot" policy!!
