Much like the requirements for a new nickname were ignored, looks like all of these suggestions were also ignored as well. Just add it to the nickname/logo frustration pile I guess!!

I realize that people make a weekend out of these tournaments and want options of things to do when they are not at the games. But remember the reason you are coming down to the Cities. It's to watch a conference hockey championship tournament. While the other things you do are fun and exciting and add to the overall experience of your trip, the hockey is why you are down there in the first place. Everything associated with the hockey tournament (atomoshphere, ice conditions, concessions, etc) is what I want to be top notch. I think the majority of people who have been to the Frozen Faceoff the past couple years would say that they would trade in all the perks of being in downtown Minneapolis (hotel availability, more restaurants/bars, light rail, etc) to be able to play back at the X.

The UND suite will be fully stocked with booze, celebrities, and Vegas showgirls. #thatshowweroll

the B1G tournament is only scheduled through this year (at Joe Louis Arena). So if that rumor is true, the X will have no conference tournaments scheduled for the first time since it opened. Does the X want conference tournaments? Will they make a push to get the Frozen Faceoff to switch venues? Do arena's do that?

So the upgrades will be done by 2017. So by the 2018 Frozen Faceoff, fans can expect that what the Target Center is that year is what it will be mostly like from there on out. 2018 is also the last year of the 5 year contract that the NCHC signed with the Target Canter. Most likely, the TC will want to have an extension in place before that. I would like to see the NCHC wait until after the 2018 Frozen Faceoff before signing any extensions. If things were great, then sign an extension. I?f things didn't get better and attendance continues to decline, the NCHC may need to look at other options. Of course a move to the X will only happen if the B1G decides to move to a different arena/city.

Couldn't really ask for a better scenario if you are Wentz. Get two years learning the system without the pressure to instantly succeed. Especially considering he is playing in front of a fanbase that has the NFL's most unrealistic expectations!! (Getting 2nd overall pick money and being the backup is not a bad perk too! Although Wentz is most likely not concerned about the money but about succeeding on the field).

Well I guess you can't say that our new logo isn't unique. Its the only logo out there that can't be reversed and can only be viewed in one direction!!

Same sort of deal that UND fans are getting letting Champions Club members get tickets before they go on sale to the general public. They are reserving a small amount of tickets for Gopher fans to get tickets.

Obviously a little late for this discussion, but it is unfortunate that SME didn't take the existing interlocking ND logo and modify it by adding a hawk to it. Would have been a great way to link the past to the future. This type of logo is certainly not something new. We have all seen them before.

Having logos on both sides doesn't look that bad. Sure, the hawk is facing backwards. But it's not horrible. is it? I'm cool with the logo on 1 side. As long as they do numbers on the other.

I do like that the new gray pants have the green stripe down the side. Gray pants with the green jersey and the gray helmets would be pretty sharp. Not a fan at all of using 1 color for the pants/jersey/helmet. With 3 colors, we can mix it up.

It does seem strange that there are pictures of the gray helmet even dating back to last spring, but Bubba said that it will not be an option for this year. I am thinking his "You never know where this goes" comment is a hint that the gray helmets will be used this year. My guess is the Potato Bowl game against USD to go along with thhe new gray jerseys. Just a hunch, but we will see I guess.

Lots of jersey combinations there!! Might as well ad a white helmet to the mix too!!

Still wondering how they are going to to the logo on the helmets. I would love to see them go throwback and have each players number opposite the logo.
