Not FCS, but technically a non UND football topic. http://www.startribune.com/sources-target-field-to-host-st-johns-vs-st-thomas-football-in-2017/397095471/ NDSU was the talk of getting this game. I think its smart to have two local teams play. Attendance is going to be bpretty high, considering that the Tommie-Johnie games always draw a big crowd.

I like it! Why not have it at a venue and a city that would be the most attractive to Big Sky fans. Viva Las Vegas!!! (Taking the pipe dream to the extreme here!!)

Having divisions in FBS makes sense if you are having a conference championship game. Can't do that in FCS, so not sure why you would do that.

Sorry, you are right. That is going to be what happens. You will have to sign home and home with other FCS schools for OOC games. Trying to get 6 home games every year should be the goal.

I am guessing that every other year you get 4 home conference games. So in an 11 game schedule you would have 2 OOC games. A strategy I would use would be to always have at least 6 home games. On the years where you have 5 home conference games, schedule an FBS game and a home OOC game. On the years where you have only 4 home conference games, schedule 2 OOC home games. Some years you aren't going to get an FBS game, so scheduling a road or another home OOC FCS game should not be that hard. Either way, still leaves you plenty of opportunity to schedule the other 3 Dakota schools.

Hearing that the Big Sky Conference is officially going to a 9 game conference schedule starting in 2020. Nothing official from the Big Sky, but that is what I am seeing today.

Statement game. This is the game that people finally take notice of this team. Locally and nationally. A win puts us at 5-2 overall and and 4-0 in the Big Sky. The 100th Homecoming and the place should be packed. Newest biggest game of the year. If the crowd shows up and stays engaged for the whole game, our boys will feed off it. Especially our defense. One thing I hope most of us can agree on is that at least UND didn't go with a goofy cartoon looking bird logo. Honestly, which would you rather have, our logo or Southern Utah's?

Western Illinois-North Dakota winner at No. 1 seed North Dakota State So play the team that was selected instead of us last year and then have a chance to knock out the 5 time defending FCS Champion who happens to be our biggest rival? I like it!!

“That’s another BISON first down!” “Move those chains…” It is at these moments during the game when we must realize it is 2016 and we still have racism prevalent here at North Dakota State. This guy can't be serious? Is he trying to imply that the crowd yelling "move those chains" when referring to the first down chains is referencing slavery and is racist? Is that what he is implying? Wow. What an idiot!!

There are 5 games left this season. If we go 4-1 and finish the season 8-3, no matter who that loss is to, we make the playoffs. I don't care how bad the team that potential 3rd loss is to. A team that is 8-3 in the FCS makes the playoffs every time. But let's #leavenodoubt and finish the season 9-2 and win the Big Sky!!!

Yep. They are in town to announce a 500 million dollar donation to UND for a new on campus football stadium and a push to move towards FBS. Pretty convenient that the 15 year anniversary celebration of the Ralph happened to be the same weekend!!
