Schloss predicts that this weekend has "trouble written all over it" siting UND playing on the road for the first time and that the Bulldogs get first change. But in the next breath he references this article.. http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/4146674-und-hopes-continue-be-amsoil-homewreckers So we are 6-1 at Amsoil, outscoring the Dogs 27-8, haven't won a series since 1998, and haven't swept UND in Duluth since 1992, but yet he thinks we are in trouble? Doesn't make too much sense!! I agree that going on the road for the first time can cause issues, but its not like we are going to a place that we rarely play at. We have had success in Duluth and expecially at Amsoil. And both teams know that. Schloss predicted a loss and a tie. I will predict a win on Friday and a shootout win on Saturday.

Understanding reason and logic is not a trait that these protesters rioters generally have.

If the series goes 7 games, Francona said he plans on starting Kluber for 3 or them. That shows his lack of confidence in his other starters. I get wanting to start your ace as much as possible, but there is a reason that it doesn't happen very often. Only 9 times has a pitcher started and won 3 games in the World Series (in a 7 game series). And it has only happened once since 1968 (Randy Johnson, 2001). If Francona wants Kluber to get 3 wins this World Series, history is definitely not on his side.

Success in the playoffs and the World Series has always come down to pitching. Cubs have serious advantage in that aspect. The Tribe have Kluber as a starter, and then Miller and Allen out of the Pen. After that, they are pretty weak. Having to pitch Kluber on short rest and potentially doing that twice in this series is deffinitely not ideal. Their lack of a solid starting roatation (due to injury) and their need to over pitch their bullpen is probably the biggest factor in this series. Cubs have 4 good starters and a deep pen, and the most intimidating closer in baseball. Tough to argue who has the advantage here in regards to pitching.

UNI will most likely lose, which will give them their 5th "quality loss" of the year resulting them cracking the top 10 in the polls!!

Attendance issues in 2016 are not the same as they were in 2001. Sure with success comes more interest and increased attendance, but that is not the only thing. And you can't count on a having a 8 or 9 win team every year to boost attendance. So the "win and they will come" strategy may or may not be the answer. The Alerus needs to make UND football games an event to go to. No matter what our record, who the opponent. They need to make the Alerus truly the "Home of UND football." There needs to be more marketing of the program throughout the city. There needs to be ticket deals where you can get a family ticket deal with tickets, concessions, etc. They have done a great job with the Tailgate Village. Keep that mentality in mind when thinking of new ideas. We can't be the only college football program going through attendance woes. There has to be examples of what other schools have done to remedy the issue. And not just limited to college football. Other sports at other levels too. The Athletic departments needs to be bold and not be afraid to try new things. The free tuition giveaway may be a little gimmicky and the students got a lot of backlash for leaving after the winner was announced. But it worked!! I'm no marketing expert. But there are people at the Alerus and in the athletic department that get paid to think up some of these ideas. Lots of possibilities. Just need to be bold enough to try them.

Has the PA system ever been updated since the place opened in 2001?

Cal Poly lost to FBS Nevada and #17 North Dakota. We lost to FBS Bowling Green and #22 Stoney Brook. The polls look how good the teams were you won and lost to. Head to head doesn't play as big of factor that you think it might. Either way, doesn't really matter, especially right now.

#1 versus #2!! Should be heck of a good series (as if it already wasn't going to be already). This just adds to the excitement! (also, first time since 2008 that #1 has played #2 in a regular season series). http://undhockey.areavoices.com/?p=103762 Pretty impressive numbers on the run UND has been on the last few years. The one that really stood out was our record in non conference regular season games. Which we all know plays a huge roll in the Pairwise come playoff selection time. In the past 27 regular season non conference games, UND is 23-1-3. Pretty impressive. Just guessing, but that has to be the best in the nation. Looking at other schools records, you can see how loses in non conference games really hurt a team. The Gophers are 9-18 in their last 27 non conference games, which also includes going 1-14 against Minnesota teams during that stretch. If you play in a weak league like the B1G. non conference games are even more important. And the Gophers have proven that.

A couple points on this picture. 1. Other schools have utilized the negative space to form letters much like UND's logo. Case in point, UW-La Cross Eagles. 2. I like the feathers on the shoulder. Wondering if UND will adapt secondary marks like this that can be utilized on jerseys and helmets.

Looked back on the attendance numbers of Bubba's first year (2014) and thru 3 home games, the average attendance was 8391. If you needed mre proof that Bubba has this team headed in the right direction and creating interest in the community.

Still way to early. Way to many games left to even be talking about brackets.

Just stating the obvious. Pretty apparent that the mens hockey team is the program that is most resistant to adapting the new name and logo. Glad to see that some are beginning to embrace change. I'm really not trying be a dick about the new nickname and logo and whether enough student athletes, coaches, fans, etc are supporting it. Just my way of trying to accept it. Don't really mean to put others down for not embracing it at the speed and amount I and others are. No offense to those others out there. Sorry guys.

http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/4138709-ndsu-president-calls-end-hateful-sioux-chant-bison-football-games The excuse that I hear from Bison fans all the time is the excuse referenced in this article that "its a small and vocal minority that are doing this." Sorry. Not buying it. If its a small minority, the President of the University doesn't issue a statement to all NDSU students. You just find the guilty parties and deal with them. Pretty pathetic that they are still doing this. Of course their comeback could be "as long as you keep referring yourself as the Sioux, we will stop chanting Sioux suck".
