If the Big Sky lets UND become a football only member, I think a move to the Summit for all other sports is inevitable. The travel costs would save thousands.

It's not appropriate. Something that they probably regret doing. But all I am saying is maybe pump the brakes a bit before labeling these students as racists and that UND as a whole promotes a culture of racism and hate because a few stupid freshman posted something stupid on the internet.

We live in a "rush to judgement, ignore the facts later" society. Same thing goes with all these police shootings. The initial narrative comes out and people react. Then when the facts come out, they often show a completely different story. Same thing should be done in this incident as well.

Historically accurate National Championship banners. Wouldn't mind seeing these as well as the conference banners changed to this as well.

Saw this on the NCHC website. It is their brand usage guide for the NCHC logo. On page 10 and 11 of the pdf, it has the logo represented in each of the schools colors. The MVC is not looking to add any schools. Especially smaller market (by comparison) schools like the Dakota schools. I think the chances of any of the Dakota schools joining the MVC is pretty slim.

NDSU, USD, SDSU, and Omaha just recently joined in the last 10 years and the are not going anywhere. Doesn't make sense to go anywhere else. Western Illinois has been in the league since 1982, so they are a not really a flight risk either. Also, IUPUI has been there for nealry 20 years as well. I would consider those 6 schools as pretty stable schools that aren't going to leave the Summit anytime soon. If you add UND in there, thats 7 of the 10 schools that I think would be a pretty low flight risk to bolt to another conference. So sure, the Summit has had its defections in the past decade, but moving forward they actully are looking pretty stable. Adding UND only solidifies that.

I guess they could drop mens hockey too. Until I hear Kennedy say it is NOT an option, it is still an option, according to your logic!!

Some idiotic committee member made that suggestion. It is obviously the dumbest solution to the problem and Faison has already said that it is not an option. So everything is not on the table. If UND wants to make significant cust sto its budget that will affect it every year, travel costs are a great way to do that. Joining the Summit in all sports but Football will drastically cut those costs. Like the Summit or not, that is the most viable option. Making 4 flights out west for football is a heck of a lot cheaper than making 40 flights to the west coast for all the other sports!

So you really think that leaving the NCHC to rejoin the WCHA is something that UND is actually considering?!! Ummm.......ok??

Would assume that the 3 conferences he has been talking to are the Big Sky, Summit, and the MVFC. I really don't see the Valley expanding at this time. But who knows. The Summit would take us in a second. Makes the conference 10, and you have a travel partner with NDSU. I think that UND has the best chance to try to become a football affiliate in the Big Sky and Summit for the rest of its sports.

Everyone has their reasons for leaving early. Maybe you had to work. Maybe you had an antsy 4 year old who couldn't sit another minute. Maybe you had dinner plans later that night and only planned on staying for the first half. That's fine. Its a free country. You can stay as long as you want. What ticks off true fans is when they see students leave in droves after a tuition prize is given away. This shows that they were only sticking around to win a prize. If they cared about the football team, they would stay till the end. Especially with our team only trailing 10. Not like we were down 35 points with 10 minutes to go. Shows their true colors for the ones that left. If you are offended, tough. Do we want students to come to the games, sure. But for the right reasons.
