  1. Can't defend your actions.....make stupid comment.
  2. This is a game that UND should win. Hoping for confidence in the team but not overconfidence. As long as they do what they do best (running the ball and stopping the run) as well as not turning the ball over, they should be fine. UND - 37 Sac St. - 14
  3. I wish they would somehow replace that lounge area with seats.
  4. I have said for awhile that the Sanford Center in Sioux Falls would be a better option. The place hosts hockey all winter long, so they know how it should be done. Centrally located for the majority of the conference but still a short drive for most schools (most importantly UND fans, only 4 and half hours from GF). Holds just over $10,000 for hockey. The Summit Tournament is 2 weeks before so that is not a problem. Just have to schedule the Stampede around it. Sioux Falls would make the Frozen Faceoff a huge deal if it moved the tournament there. Get er done!!
  5. OK, so who left on the schedule is "decent" then? Eagles....Packers....then who else? Vikings are a top 3 team in the league right now. No one loos "decent" compared to them!! Should be favored in the majority of their games the rest of the season.
  6. Cal Poly and UC Davis joined the same year UND and Southern Utah did. Obviously the Big Sky was concerned about The Montana schools jumping to the FBS, so they shored up some members. Even if they were football only members like Davis and Poly. Now that that risk is essentially over, the question is will the Big Sky allow UND to be a football affiliate member like the other 2. The other Presidents surely don't have to vote if a school chooses to leave the conference. The school just pays the exit fees. But would there be a vote if UND still wanted to remain a football only member? You would think other Big Sky schools would be in favor of not having to travel half way across the country for all their sports. Only cost would be sending their football team there once every 2-3 years.
  7. This is what I think will happen as well. And actually has a chance of happening. Unlike the WACky scenario!
  8. You can kind of get the just of the new banner arrangements at the Ralph from this pic.
  9. It obviously has to do with the number of jerseys UND or the Siouxshop would have to order to be profitable. They can buy 500 UND hockey jerseys and have no problem selling them. Not necessarily the same case for football jerseys. The demand is really unknown. I think there would be a lot of people that would buy a replica football jersey for 80 bucks or so. Problem is, if the Siouxshop orders 500 and 100 sell, then they are stuck with the rest. Here's to hoping the success and interest in UND football increases and a demand for replica jerseys goes up!!
  10. I really don't understand the need for people to be proud of the fact that they are going to boo the new nickname and logo and refuse to wear any Fighting Hawks merchandise ever. Declaring to the day they die to wear Sioux merchandise and only refer to UND as the Fighting Sioux. Do you think that you are standing up to the man or not backing down to political correctness? Because I hat to tell you, you are a big part of the problem. You want a divided fanbase, keep doing what you are doing. You want people outside of the UND community to talk about the division between fans over the new name instead of the success of our teams, keep doing what you are doing. If your goal is to drag on the nickname issue for decades, just keep booing the name at sporting events and refuse to accept the Fighting Hawks name as UND's nickname. You are doing more harm than good. I get it. We lost a great name. But there are certainly more important things you could be fighting than a new nickname of your favorite college teams. End rant.
  11. Where the hell are you getting this info?
  12. In a time where UND has a multi million dollar deficit and in the process of cutting more sports, how is UND supposed to increase their athletic budget by millions of dollars when they are in the red by over 2 million dollars?!
  13. Not meaning to be a jerk or anything, but absolutely none of you previous FBS predictions have come true. I don't know where you get your information or the confidence to make predictions about schools moving up to FBS, but after being wrong so many times, how are people supposed to take you seriously?
  14. I guess it's worth noting that USD is opening their new Sanford Coyote Sports Center this year as well. As far as upgrades go from what they had before, this one may be bigger than the BSA. This is one heck of a nice basketball facility!!
  15. So what is your end game here? How long do you plan on booing the Fighting Hawks name and still yelling "Sioux" at every game? A year? 5 years? 10 years? The rest of your life? I am sure you get satisfaction for being one of those fans who is a hardcore Sioux Forever fan and feel good about not conforming to political correctness and the evil NCAA. But is that going to be how you attend UND sporting events from now on? There is already 2 banners with the Fighting Hawks name on it. Future banners will have the Fighting Hawks name and logo on them. Soon the logo will be at center ice. Jerseys are going to have the logo on it in one way or another. Students and fans will be wearing more and more Fighting Hawks apparel at the games and the Sioux Shop will be full of Fighting Hawks merchandise that people will be buying. Fans will be cheering the new name. Are you still going to be that bitter fan that refuses to adapt and refuse to accept change?
  16. I think they are the 10 time defending Champions of that title aren't they?!!
  17. Some great photos of the banner raising ceremony from Saturday. Enjoy!!
  18. Could say that about a lot of UND teams. 2011 being the next example. Proof that team that has the best players doesn't always win it all. BU will have a lot of pressure to Win a Natty this year because, like stated before, most of those guys will be one and done.
  19. He must want to play UND a little bit since he agreed to have the Goofs play us every year for the next 7 years!!
  20. I think the Betty works at its current capacity. 3300 is what it holds now. How many times other than games against NDSU in basketball and volleyball has there been a shortage of seats? End bleachers could be made to be higher to hold more seats if need be. Would be a good problem to have to deal with!
  21. So looking at the near finished SHAC, I have to say that I am a little bit underwhelmed by it. I knew that they were going to utilize some of the old seats, but mixed with the newer ones, it just looks tacky. The renderings definitely made it look way better than the final product. Sure it does seat more than the Betty and has a lot more end seating, I have to say that the Betty is just as nice as the new SHAC. Especially with the addition of the new video boards. Anyone else feel the same way I do?
