  1. This is an opinion. More specifically mine. Probably not the only one who has it either. Shaking things up drastically and cutting athletic programs is something that Kennedy probably didn't want to do his first couple months in office. Trying to save face and appear to be the good guy is nothing new for a person in a leadership role.
  2. Not saying I agree with what he did. But it seems like instead of taking responsibility and making the necessary cuts, he is going to make it appear that its the state that is making UND cut programs and not him. So while he may think he is coming out looking as the good guy that tried to save every athletic program, he actually comes out looking like a failed leader incapable of making tough decisions
  3. Kennedy played it out perfectly. He knew there were going to be mandatory cuts the state would propose. Instead of cutting sports initially, he recommended to keep them all and then when the state forced them to make cuts, he had a scapegoat for the reason sports were cut. Either way, the writing was on the wall that this is likely going to happen.

  5. FYP!!
  6. 8-8 from the line in the last 38 seconds. Crandall himself was 6-6. That's what clutch teams do down the stretch to win games!! Very impressed with our free throw shooting since conference play started. Another interesting stat is Weber only attempted 8 FT's the entire game compared to our 23!!
  7. Well, besides that game Since then UND is shooting 73% from the line. If you take out the Iowa game where we shot 6 for 19, we are 80% from the line since the Bison game. The shooting all around in the last Bison game can't be ignored. But the team has shown that it has moved on and improved. As shown by the numbers.
  8. Can't wait for this one. Its great that we have shown we can play with the best in the Big Sky and beat them. If this is a close game in the second half, I like our chances. Our FT shooting has been clutch this year. Especially down the stretch. That is my X factor I guess.
  9. Why are we limiting UND to make the jump to FBS and just be in the WAC?!! If we are going to throw ridiculous aspirations out there, might as well go all in!! My cousins roommate who is friends with a guy who's second cousin goes to the U of M heard about a post on a blog that his 9 year old nephew told him about that UND is making a move to the Big 10 in no less than 5 years!! #SiouxVolleysources
  10. This one statement is what your entire theory is based on. I'm glad you were the one that mentioned it. UND is currenly trying to save money especially in athletics (have you been paying attention the last 6 months?!!). You say "if we have funding". Well that is a pretty gigantic "if". Unless you know of a donor that is waiting in the wings to donate hundreds of millions of dollars!!
  11. SiouxVolley, does any of your information have actual sources or are you just coming up with it on your own? You constantly quote local new articles and interviews with school Presidents and AD's, but don't provide a link or anything. Without sources, your information is just rumors and speculation that makes convincing others that it is fact very difficult.
  12. And how exactly is UND going to afford to go FBS given the recent financial shortfalls in the athletic budget?
  13. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/columnists/ct-nhl-mascot-beating-skit-kuc-spt-0114-20170113-column.html This guy needs to go back to his safe space!!
  14. So are you saying SME mailed it in as well?
  15. Tampa Bay Lighting are denying any random hookup that resulted in a baby!!
  16. Kolpack: Scheels Center badly needs another league team, and that would be UND http://www.inforum.com/sports/4197671-kolpack-scheels-center-badly-needs-another-league-team-and-would-be-und#.WHe8u8ccHj5.twitter
  17. So Spanos didn't want to contribute more than 300 million dollars for a new stadium in San Diego but will pay a 550 million dollar relocation fee to the NFL. Shows that he really had no intentions of trying to keep the team in San Diego.
  18. For those unhappy with our new logo....it could have been worse!!
  19. Oops, yeah. My bad. They should just add a team in Kansas City. that would be easier!!
  20. Next year there will be 31 NHL teams. 8 in the Metro, 8 in the Atlantic, 8 in the Pacific(with Las Vegas), and 7 in the Central. Finding a team for the Central Division would be the next natural choice to even everything up. Sure San Diego is an option, but if they got an NHL franchise, than Denver would most likely have to move over to the Central.
  21. It does when the other school in town has won 3 since your last one!!
  22. When you are at the top of the Big Sky mountain, every opponent starts to seem like they are week!!!
  23. Unless you are a Clinton Foundation donor.
  24. So if Laine isn't able to go, I think Staal or Koivu have a shot at replacing him. New format is beyond awesome. Hope they keep it around a long time!!
