Fair. I eat my share of grinders (maybe a few peoples shares) but I prefer a couple 3 - 4 cheese tostadas as a go to anyway. Couple places in Bismarck have the rights to the recipie, Ive been told, Landers conoco just butchers the heck out of it... not good. Stadium Bar is ok, ham is way off and bread is different but in a good way. I prefer it to Hornbachers and Hugos.

If Kennedy did make even some of the statements claimed such as "Ralph only making a deal that benefited him" in the face of what the University has recieced from the family.... wooof. Then even if there is merit to his objective, it would be almost impossible for him to recover I would think.

Big 10?... are you insane? If you even for a second think that UND can or even SHOULD be modeled after the B1G model of athletic programs you are fishing for a life of dissapointment. Football will NEVER be the #1 sport at UND, just live with that instead of holding onto the desperate hate filled jealousy. Football will not benefit by the demise of Hockey as you so pathetically exude. Football can benefit by the success of the Hockey program... not its relegation. and by the way the only chance in h e double hockey sticks of getting close to the B1G.... is in..... prepare yourself... Hockey. Attitudes like this guy is the root of fan base division. Embrace who we are, a hockey school. With a growing football program that can hope to succed on a smaller stage at some point. The best BB can ever hope for is to be a 64th team joke for 1st game upset. Anything further is mecer possible. Its just fact. It is what it is. Deal with it or dont but you can't change it.

The economic impact on the Forks from the REA is a huge factor in why the outrage over creating a ruse amongst the parties is happening. There has to be a great reason, or there isn't..... and right now the overwhelming sentiment is that there is no good reason for Kennedy to pick this fight. I want to know the truth.

Jdub27 that has been posted before, thank you it provodes some background but doesnt really answer the question. What amounts are in contention? percentages? Dollars? How much money is this fight over? That is the story I would pay to read? If I was guessing.... it is a significant amount to make REA go on the offensive. Although it could be a smaller amount and Kennedy is trying to take a stand on it, which would be foolish. Whichbis completely possible.

I see they decisions and manner in which the North Dakota University system manages itself, and how the bureaucratic UND administrations have bungled so much. I see how the REA manages itself. I guess what we should really be asking is when can REA start managing more of the day to day operations of UND!

I would say this press release indicated the McGarry is not lying. Glossing over the issue is in the political arena, an admitance of truth in the opponents story.

Kennedy's response seems a very political and non-engaging one. "What do mean there's a problem?" ... Arrogant. Insulting to the parties involved I would think, which tends to back up the trends and claims about Kennedy being bullish or standofish at best and disinterested in UND at the worst. I was really in favor of Kennedy at first, I disagree and have been disapointed in body of work so far. What I would like to know is if the money that REA takes as part of the agreement goes into the foundation that benefits University..... Is the arguement really just semantics of where money lays on budget reports? McGarry isnt taking profit out of the deal at all right? If the money REA takes in goes to maintain the facility and support student athletes how is this a bad thing. I gues objectively its important to follow the money, and ask those questions. What really is the problem here? How is UND effected by receiving the money they get from the REA?... What is the requested change to the agreement? How does that make UND or the arena better off? How exactly is UND Athletics hurt by the current situation?

Boston hockey teams don't go slummin west of the Appalachians very often, I'm sure they will find Mankato culturally and intellectually stimulating.

Crosses a big line. Saying things like this really trivializes how terrible and evil spouse abuse is. Lets find a different way to express your issues and resentment towards the hockey team/REA.

I will say from a journalistic standpoint, I believe the Herald did a poor job at best of presenting a full story. That being said.... "Mr. Kennedy your 9am appointment is here"....

regardless of the light in which we disagree on the framing of this issue. It reeeelly is not a good thing for UND and right now is a bad time for it, this probably does deserve its own thread as it will be a huge topic tomorrow. I don't share your optimism for Kennedys image in this sloberknocker.
