Definitely. Hard not to give the award to Montgomery though. Might have been different if the vote was after the playoffs.

I was sitting there thinking their record was 75-0-5 (or close to that) when they were ahead after two periods so I felt pretty good that they would win. I will admit the sphincter tightened up a tad when DU tied it but I still felt confident that they would win. The kid sitting next to me (young teen) cheered real loud for DU and then for QU in the title game. He wasn't wearing any team gear but I had him pegged as a goofer fan.

Who won?

Doesn't matter how long the Vegas/Dallas series goes - the finals start May 31 or June 1.

Lots of good play out of committed recruits. Pipeline is looking pretty good right now. I'm thinking a trip to Vegas may be in order in a couple years.

Clock finally struck midnight for the Kraken. They had a great, and unexpected, run in the playoffs. Even though they played a good game they made too many mistakes to win the game. It could have been 5-0 if not for Grubauer and Dallas missing the net so much, and a great job blocking shots.

Don't watch on Monday - I'll let you know what happens.

My first (and probably last) Stanley Cup playoff game and the Kraken lay an egg. And to add insult to injury, I sat next to two Dallas fans. Ouch.

Gritty win for the Kraken. A 4-2 series win next? And it was nice to see the business suit right behind Kartye's parents. They got a lot of TV time after he scored.

It definitely was a cheap shot. The way he looked at the ref makes me think he didn't hear the whistle. McCann obviously heard the whistle because he was coasting because the play was over.

Kraken beat Avs in OT 3-2. Series tied at 2 each. I expect the league to review a hit by Makar. It was called a major on the ice and reduced to a minor on review. Very late hit and a game suspension wouldn't surprise me.

I really don't understand what makes a hit a crosscheck, and that includes college. In every scrum there's at least one player, if not two, with both hands on their stick hitting an opposing player in the back and yet that type of hit is never called. Shouldn't that be a penalty?
