  1. Hardly. His injury was what prevented him from a great year.
  2. This should be the final piece of the puzzle to get an NHL team to Seattle, but I will never understand why they chose Key Arena over a new arena in a location that is actually somewhat accessible. Oh, I forgot, there will be light rail in 10 years. http://mynorthwest.com/1123600/seattle-city-council-approves-700m-keyarena-renovation/
  3. Let's just drag this out a little longer.... http://mynorthwest.com/1106051/keyarena-nhl-seattle/
  4. Today's sign that the apocalypse is near.
  5. A buddy (disappointed Northeastern fan) has two FF tickets for sale. If you are interested, text me at 425-985-6965. I have no idea what he wants for them but my guess is he would accept under face value.
  6. Yep. Planned to go regardless of which teams made it.
  7. Thanks geaux_sioux - I really needed that.
  8. I see at least two leaving early - Gersich and Wolanin. I don't see either of them having much of a career in the NHL, if at all.
  9. CC got totally screwed on DU's 2nd goal - I can't imagine a more blatant kicking motion
  10. I would settle for two this weekend.
  11. And the Sunday game will go to OT!
  12. I kinda think the NHL might approve the Seattle Whatevers: http://sports.mynorthwest.com/422796/report-nhl-seattle-gets-to-25k-season-ticket-deposits-in-1st-hour/
  13. This is an interesting article that talks about how the NHL could have a leg up on the NBA if they are here first. Here's a quick history lesson first. About 10-12 years ago the Sonics "asked" the city to make $200M in renovations to Key Arena. Since the city had made $200M in renovations about 10 years before that, they said no. So the owner of the Sonics (Howard Schultz) decided to sell the team. The buyer (Clay Bennett) said he would really try to keep the team in Seattle. Yeah sure he would. The team moved to Oklahoma City, where coincidentally Bennett lives. The commissioner of the NBA (David Stern) said quite angrily "Seattle will never have an NBA team again!" It wouldn't hurt my feelings if bringing an NHL team here keeps the NBA out of town. Good riddance http://mynorthwest.com/910941/nhl-team-reduce-nba-chances/
