NCHC tournament game #1. Miami....we think.
siouxfaninseattle replied to Wilbur's topic in Men's Hockey
I like the extra rest if they have a choice. And I see 4-2 tonite for the good guys. -
It's too close to the end, and teams are falling all over the place. I really don't want to see any more teams end their season - unless it's on the ice.

I wonder who the players are that are staying home. And I wonder if the could have at least one of the goalies play defense or forward. Anybody know?

It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see the boys put up a fight against bye, but I really would like CC to get healthy. I can't see UND having much of a problem with either of them. -

I totally agree but I would rather see him play tomorrow night. -
What, no note from your mom saying you promise not to breath on anyone???

Wisconsin was up 6-0 and had their top PP unit on the ice - I think it was a 5 on 3. Classy.

I don't think they would have such a lousy record had Cruikshank been able to play all season. And they are young. Maybe they're a bottom third team but not one of the worst in the country. -

Once upon a time, long ago, when I played for GFRR we beat Bottineau 13-0 in the state tournament. Kudos for anyone that can figure out what year. -
I don't follow NHL very much but am curious what's going on with Toews. Is he playing?

I have to wonder if people are too concerned about covid to attend. The biggest crowd for the home games has been about 2,500.

I'm pretty sure I misread the article. It said reducing the minimum number of games from 20 to 13. Oops.

The NC$$ waived the requirement.

Post pod series #6-It's literally Omaha from here on out........

I don't know wat you posted - it won't play -
I still can't understand how Blais managed to put the benches on opposite sides of the ice with the penalty box next to the home team's bench.

I forgot about Bast. He's not listed on CHN's list for UND. The extra year of eligibility could make things interesting too. As @AlphaMikeFoxtrotsays, the Bast brothers might want a year to play together. Reiger staying maybe?
-
Without reading back, I'm wondering where we stand for defensemen in the near future. We lose Bast, Kiersted and Reiger to graduation, probably JBD and possibly Sanderson. That would leave Moore, Frisch and Kleven. I only see one coming in next year (Scott Morrow) and only two the following year. Any talk of someone coming in early?

They already did - he was suspended from last night's game. -

Ya gotta like it when you don't have your "A" game nearly all weekend and sweep Denver. -

I hope Sanderson stays for another year but I don't think he will. He's NHL ready. -

I was quite impressed by Brink flopping on the ice when he was not touched by a UND player and then got up when the refs went to the other end of the ice without looking at him.
