  1. To me the offensive lines were the difference in this game. Bradley was given time to throw and he didn't disappoint. You can see the difference a year can make. Aside from a few errant throws (the one interception and likely should have been another), I think he was the best QB today. Problem with Hansen is that you never really got to see him sit in a pocket and make a throw, the green defense was on him all day. Some pretty exciting plays and plenty of reasons to be excited for next season. Hardin is a stud, Townsend had the catch of the day, and Jackson is definitely a load to bring down. I like the confidence in McGill as well. Our receiving corps is definitely going to be a strength.
  2. I'm withholding my vote until I actually can see them in action. I work while the practices are going on and was out of town for the last scrimmage, so all I have is other's hearsay. You'd think though, that Braden would be the guy for this year.
  3. I think lacrosse has a better shot than wrestling right now of being the sport instead of baseball.
  4. You have inside information on this or just feel like being opinionated?
  5. I think we need to throw far more than last year (total understatement) but we also had an impressive ground game, even as teams stacked the box against us. We can't just forget the successes we had there.
  6. Was it just me or did anyone notice our third line out there pretty often with Minnesota's top line? I know that Mario's first goal was against the top line, can't remember if his second was or not. Just seemed that everytime I saw Mario, Gleason, and Pattyn out there I also saw the UM topline. Great win, great comeback, great story. This team has come so far since the beginning of the year it's hard to believe. Hakstol has done an outstanding job and his job security definitely should not be in question after this.
  7. Amazing game, what a great comeback and a strong finish.
  8. Need to get back to attacking the rim. It's what got us back in the game, that and solid defense.
  9. Going to need some big minutes by Allard here
  10. This is really hard to listen to right now. I know it's our radio guy but the officiating sounds somewhat suspect. But seriously what are our guys doing? They can't do anything on offense and the defense sounds horrible. How can you go 8 minutes without scoring? Seriously?!
  11. Defense doesn't sound like it's doing too well today. Hopefully they can settle in and shut down UTPA like they did in the last meeting.
  12. Jones could have had an equal beef with the officiating at the end as there was a lot of contact on Anderson's shot with no foul call. If you call it on Brekke at the other end, you have to give Anderson that call in return. As it is, things worked out well and Mitchell makes one of the biggest shots of his career in his final home game.
  13. They've been doing this for the whole season, any time there was a basketball game (men's or women's), or women's hockey game prior to men's hockey they'd do the priority seating for those who attended. However, it had no noticeable impact for other games that I could see. It's still a great idea and needs to continue(no sense students standing outside of a building waiting when they could be watching/supporting another team).
  14. Great job! Now wrap up the conference tournament and send Gene out on top!
  15. Watching the video, you can see at least .2 seconds on the clock when the ball is in the air, absolutely no question about the basket and the refs indicated it was good right away. Amazing finish to the game and great to see the team pull this one out!
  16. Take note of the time of the game that he decided to try showing off as well. UND was up big and it was early in the 2nd half. He likely thought that he should've been given free reign to "showcase" his abilities instead of just continuing on with what was working in the first half. I really think it was a planned thing of his coming out of the lockerroom which just shows the kind of attitude and "get mine" approach to the game that is far too prevalent, not just a Huff thing. He plays within the gameplan and along with his teammates, he can be absolutely amazing and a very dynamic player. But he can't constantly try to force things and think that he's far superior to everyone else. Team defense will almost always shut down a single player and that has happened over and over this year and yet he won't learn. Hopefully his teammates can help him figure it out as well as try to get him to reason things out and stay.

    New Jerseys

I think that going with black jerseys or the matte helmets could look cool if done right (as with most things), but I also think that it would help get some more excitement into the program from the younger crowd. The students love seeing the black hockey jerseys at home, and they would love seeing something new with the football team I'm sure. Plus think of the recruiting, recruits see players wearing edgy/cool new jerseys and it's just another thing that could work to help get them here.
  18. Great game all around. UND took control from the onset and never looked back. Even the free throw shooting wasn't attrocious! Also fun to see Antwi get extended playing time and look confident out there.
  19. It's not the name that is scaring off recruits, it is being on NCAA sanctions. No hope of home playoff games is a major turn-off. Constantly having to be associated with a school under sanctions, turn-off. Why would you want to go to a sanctioned school when there are other, non-sanctioned schools recruiting you? So therefore, the recruiting reason is very valid and far from BS. You've heard this from Mussman (having gone through recruitment) and Lennon (outside perspective now). To claim it's not affecting the athletics here is BS.
  20. Bad call, imo.

    2012 early look

I think regardless of Mollberg's potential right now he would be better suited to redshirt this year. I want to see what Comes, Bradley, and Hanson can do during spring practices. Hanson definitely has potential and adds excitement that he can take over right away, Comes was identified as the offensive scout player of the year and there was some good talk about him coming out of high school, and Bradley has had a full year to get acclimated to the FCS level of play, lift some weights, and hopefully make progress. It's easy to forget that Bradley was still quite young last year. As it stands I'm interested in seeing the winner of this 3 qb race, and then redshirt our young QB's we recruited this year. Give them a year to get used to not only the system and the speed, but also give them time to get adjusted to being away from home and the university way of life.
  22. Do you really think he was doing what he thought was best for UND or did he simply take advantage of a volatile political topic to create a better image for himself as well as enable him to take a shot at the SBoHE?

    In a nut shell

The true moral of this thread is that Fetch can say something totally ridiculous and utterly stupid and get people to argue with him, even though it's like arguing with a spoiled child.
  24. Methinks you complain too much, if you don't like his view, don't read it. But I think we should keep this forum for a discussion about hockey. There are other boards here for bringing this up.
  25. Who really cares? This is a road win
