What's the outlook right now on next year's offensive line? Do we have some kids waiting in the wings or are we going to have another year or struggles up front?

Agreed, but the offense was at least moving and Joe seemed to be making some better throws. Bartles comes in and the offense does nothing again. I fully agree that the OL is brutal and limits just about everything we can do.

Things were going with Mollberg in, which is disappointing he's now out. Wonder how this game would've been had he been able to stay in. Bartles just doesn't have it this year it appears.

They are being lazy, pure and simple. Getting outworked, outhustled, out-performed and it shows in the score. They can have all the talent in the world but if they don't bother to even try, then they'll get their butts kicked by middle of the pack teams all season.

Team is simply getting outworked. That's pretty much the gist of it.

I think Stecher has played too well to be taken out. He's positionally correct, does the little things right, and is just so steady. Remember the goal that he saved last week?

A lot of blame is put on Kelley for trying to curtail the student section drinking but you also have to look at the crowd around the student section. Kelley is responding to complaints from old fogeys that incessantly complain that students are being students.

How is the quality of the NCHC.tv feed? Is it worth the cost of the subscription?

Make that this season is about getting some respectability back and convincing recruits that the bottom has hit and this program will get better and better moving forward. Tough to recruit when there appears to be no hope or confidence in the program, a la Mussman.

That's very true but at the same time maybe it settles him down some. Right now I think he's hearing footsteps on every play.... well because most every play he IS hearing the footsteps.

Didn't see the game but saw RMU and SJSU games and one thing that I can't seem to figure out is why the OC isn't trying to help things out on offense by using his mobile QB as an actual mobile QB. The appeal of Mollberg is that he can do it with his feet as opposed to Bartels who is completely stationary. So why not start instituting some basic offensive concepts when you have a weak line, i.e. roll-outs, bootlegs, and options. This offensive line simply cannot hold a pocket, so the QB has no time to throw and is forcing things. So move the pocket, or at least make it so that the defense has to actually work instead of just continually putting the offense in situations it cannot win. Not impressed by Rudolph at all. Through three games there has been no improvement from the offense. Defense is coming around and really held out for as long as it could yesterday. Offense needs a complete makeover right now and schematically things can be done to help. Instead they are pounding their head against the same wall.

You could hardly put the second turnover squarely on Joe. Two guys completely unblocked? First took him down, second put helmet on the ball. Tough to keep it in those conditions.

Watching a replay of the game. It's obnoxious the gushing over FBS and attributing instant success to teams with FBS transfers. Also the SHSU quarterback is brutal on any throw over 10 yards.

Of course Kleiman would have been an upgrade over Mussman. It wouldn't take terribly too much to qualify for that bit of praise.
