There was ZERO wrong with the snap on that FG. Any holder would tell you the snap was just fine. It would have hit him in the face. Nothing difficult there.

Sounds good in theory, but our AD is literally incapable of doing most of this. You know this as well as I do, Ira. I lost all confidence in him with how aloof and clueless he came across in the hiring process. The timing, the lack of knowledge on how college athletics and specifically football works nowadays, the lack of expedience, the lack of networking and headhunting skills - everything. His ultimate choice is/was a great one, but how he got there was an embarrassment to his profession and the UND Athletic Department. I personally am counting down the days until we have a new AD. It's the next step in rebuilding the overall character of our Athletic Department and University as a whole. Someone who loves UND and believes it's an honor to be there, someone who actually buys a home in Grand Forks. I get the whole "it starts at the top with the President" mantra, and I agree to a certain extent. However, I think President Kelley, at this point, is down the list of concerns when compared to our AD right now. I'm also concerned about our AD and his staff "wearing out" Bubba and his staff with the constant jumping through hoops BS in order to run a successful FCS program. It's ridiculous. Having said all of this. I'm super excited with the direction Bubba and his staff have this program heading and I can't wait to see what they can achieve with their own recruits and system over the years.
-
Just looking for signs of more improvement and progression for the program. Today is another big litmus test for that. Many important recruits will be there watching. UND needs to show them in person it's going the right direction. Win or lose, I think they will today.
-
You said this.... I was simply pointing out that you got caught up in message board hyperbole in regards to the UCONN football team. Is UCONN a "good FBS" program right now? No. Would beating them do something for ANY FCS team in the country? Yes. It does and would "mean a damn thing" if we had and/or Stony Brook had beaten UCONN. That's all I'm saying.
-
Matt, we've done that at least twice already. Once as a D2 transitional program. You really would rather seen them beat SUU on the road than get an FBS win (which we have yet to do) on the road at UCONN? When you're out recruiting, what does more for a high school kid? "Hey we beat SUU at their place" or "Hey we went out to Big East FBS School UCONN and beat them on the road"?
-
So if UND had gone out to UCONN this year and won, that wouldn't have done anything for ya then huh?...

Here are some offensive variables I'd like to point out from the 2014 season to date: - our OL play past and present - our RB play past and present (plus injuries) - 2 of our best WRs are true freshman who have trouble getting off the line so far - 95% of our WR production from 2013 (pass happy offense) is gone, with a couple of them being 2 of the best to ever play WR at UND - and finally this number ----> 46% That is just screaming for the UND offense to open up the playbook is it not? We have what we have right now for personnel, and we are executing how we are executing, specifically in the passing game. I dont think there is a single person on here or UND fan in general who doesnt WANT to be able pass the ball more, much less Bubba and Rudolph. I promise that both men wish they could pass more effectively right now. Until one specific player steps up and proves otherwise, we can expect to see much more of the same because to put it simply, it's obvious it's all we can do right now. I'm not sure how you can try ask an offense without the requisite skills to execute something they've repeatedly shown they aren't capable of doing at this point. Bubba is playing the hand he's been dealt the best he can, whether it's what he or any of us want is a completely different story.
-
4-5 OL and DL each.....no question in my opinion. Needs 1 and 1a in this year's class.
-
Oh yeah? Why is that? Please enlighten us. I'm trying to figure out if this is a bit or if you really think you are that important? Sadly I think it's the latter.

Delete this thread please? This has nothing to do with UND Football.

Congrats to gfhockey. He has locked up the title of biggest idiot on this forum, and that's saying something. Good job buddy.
-
Who cares about hockey? It isn't relevant to this discussion. This is a football thread. Talk about hockey in the hockey thread.
-
What are you talking about? Will you please stop? I agree with homer - intentional or not, you sound like an idiot.

Wentz is by far the superior overall athlete and he has the better tools and raw talent. Kid is a freak. What remains to be seen is if he has the intangibles that Jensen had and if he can flat-out win games like he did. I think Wentz will be a better overall QB than Jensen, but more than likely will not match his winning prowess.

Bubba and his staff have exceeded everyone's expectations in recruiting so far. Amazing job considering the situation they were put in for timing. However I still maintain that having December to bring kids in would have made a huge difference in the quality of an already good class. It could have, should have and would have been better. I'm not really sure how there is an argument otherwise.

FACT: Ezra dropped ndsu last night. Not the other way around.

Your tweet was deplorable and embarrassing to UND 'fans'.

Don't make me quote myself.

Folks, just have confidence that Brian Faison did what's best for UND at this time. He exhausted all of his options and did everything he could despite the process. Bubba will be great. We need to support the decision and Bubba moving forward.... ...right, Sic? What was good before the decision is also good after, no? Sounds like sour grapes to me. That's not like you. Your arms are even crossed in your avatar like something is bothering you. I guess I hope the good ol boy network is right too Sic. Maybe you can find it in your heart to give Bubba that extra year you were going to give Deboer. Merry Christmas.

Strike 3, you're out.

"PUNT TEAM!!!" "THESE GUYS ARE ______ _______!!!!" (Fargo all-you-can-eat buffets BEWARE)

burn... or... checkmate...

It appears our personal experiences and opinions on Bubba differ. Depends on the kid he's recruiting I guess. To each, their own. Pretty subjective that way no matter who the recruiter or recruit is. From a recruiting standpoint; is he Urban Meyer, Hugh Freeze or Ed Orgeron? Nope. Do I think we disagree on him as a recruiter and how successful his staff would be collectively on the recruiting trail? Yep. That's fair. All good.

Local talent? Good leadership qualities? Getting the defense back to UND standards? Putting together a great staff? In my opinion, there's a guy that literally will excel at that better than the other guy from jump street.
