FACT: Ezra dropped ndsu last night. Not the other way around.
-
Your tweet was deplorable and embarrassing to UND 'fans'.

Don't make me quote myself.

Folks, just have confidence that Brian Faison did what's best for UND at this time. He exhausted all of his options and did everything he could despite the process. Bubba will be great. We need to support the decision and Bubba moving forward.... ...right, Sic? What was good before the decision is also good after, no? Sounds like sour grapes to me. That's not like you. Your arms are even crossed in your avatar like something is bothering you. I guess I hope the good ol boy network is right too Sic. Maybe you can find it in your heart to give Bubba that extra year you were going to give Deboer. Merry Christmas.

Strike 3, you're out.

"PUNT TEAM!!!" "THESE GUYS ARE ______ _______!!!!" (Fargo all-you-can-eat buffets BEWARE)

burn... or... checkmate...

It appears our personal experiences and opinions on Bubba differ. Depends on the kid he's recruiting I guess. To each, their own. Pretty subjective that way no matter who the recruiter or recruit is. From a recruiting standpoint; is he Urban Meyer, Hugh Freeze or Ed Orgeron? Nope. Do I think we disagree on him as a recruiter and how successful his staff would be collectively on the recruiting trail? Yep. That's fair. All good.

Local talent? Good leadership qualities? Getting the defense back to UND standards? Putting together a great staff? In my opinion, there's a guy that literally will excel at that better than the other guy from jump street.
-
Bubba's potential staff he hires would be better than Kalen's. I'll say it again. I think we would all be surprised by Bubba's staff. Myself included.

Harris might have the hips and speed to play DB. Maybe even corner? 6'1" - 6'2" corners with long arms are rare. It's a longshot, but worth a shot. If he can, he should play in the secondary. If he lifts and eats himself out of the safety position, then he probably ends up at OLB.

I agree Agree. Regardless of who the coach is, this is a 2-3 year rebuild project. If we get 5-6 wins next year, I'll be ecstatic. Not because I have low expectations for this program, because that's the reality of the situation we are in. We will need some patience to turn it around. (cue axl)

I believe Bubba was at UND from 1989-2003. I might be off a year or 2.
-
I'm going to vehemently disagree with you on this...1000%
-
If he leaves again after 15 years as Head Coach at UND, then I'd say we did pretty well.
-
Preach it brother....I'm with ya.
-
Sorry, I guess made that up out of nowhere. It appeared you were down on "UND guys" to me.... except Tibesar.
-
I think there's no question Bubba would like to entertain that thought if he gets the job. However, I think his respect for Dale would ultimately prevent him from doing that. No chance Bubba leaves Dale to be DC for Deboer.
-
Ugh, can't wait until this thing is over.....back to ss.com hibernation.
-
But he's a UND guy...you want fresh blood. Can't have it both ways.
-
Would you take Tibesar or not?
-
In hindsight, UND as we know it was successfully built on those same "UND guys" that you loathe. Specifically the football program. I'd say there's a pretty good track record there, no? What if Tibesar was an option? Same thing? He's a "good ol' boy network" kind of guy who has "buddies and schmoozers" too. But by all means, carry on...

Once again, not surprising when you consider that the players were told at the team meeting by the AD and the SWA that anyone wishing to transfer would be granted their release. This happened shortly after the firing when morale was probably pretty low all-around. They did that rather than tell the players they really want them to stay and that they need to wait until the new coach is hired before they would sign their transfer papers. No wonder players are dropping like flies. How would all of us take that as 18-21 year old kids, especially if we were from Chicago and had doubts in our mind about the whole situation? Would we think they cared if we stayed or left? Certain kids would have left regardless, but the leadership attitude no doubt had to make a difference in at least a few others.

100% agree with this. Thanks for the info, siouxjoy.

Bingo!
