  1. This is shocking...
  2. I too was extremely disappointed that Ratelle didnt make the cut. However, upon further review, the 3 finalists are absolutely deserving and studs for some pretty good defenses. Not sure who you would even take out in favor of Ratelle. Some impressive numbers there. I feel like if we were a year further down the road and Ratelle put up similar stats on this defense, it might be different. But again, that type of respect is earned.
  3. Ufff....grew up watching Kory play at Memorial Stadium as a kid. He was a big reason things got turned around before and heading into 1993. What a sad deal. Praying for him and his family. Just terrible.
  4. Fire Rudolph, sit Studsrud, start Bartels and mollberg, Bubba Ball is awful, don't pull the shirts off kids....blah blah blah....you can go over and over and over all the amazing things said here throughout the year. This place and others like it: where misguided passion for a team to be successful turns to fanatical idiocy. Some have an innate ability to find the worst and negative in any positive situation and will turn on a dime if things don't go right. But hey, If nothing else, it's humorous. Regardless of the outcome this Saturday and beyond this season, I am so friggin' excited about the future of this program right now that it makes me giddy like a little kid. Love the 'tongue in cheek' post!! GO UND!!!
  5. If you have the hockey and basketball games at the same time, then all of the hockey fans who normally also attend basketball games too, wont go that night. I'm just having trouble understanding strictly from an attendance standpoint, how much affect not having the hockey fans available would have for a mens bball game. Under that assumption, you'd think the 3,000 seat Betty would be sold out every night there is a game when the hockey team is out of town or not playing.
  6. OLB
  7. SDSU will always be tough to beat on a kid in Nebraska based on proximity. That has always been the case and now they have better facilities than before and the team is perennially better than before. Have to pass 3 Dakota schools up I-29 before you get to UND. It's impressive what we've gotten out of Nebraska over the years given the variables.
  8. SDSU finally had the chance to host their first ever FCS playoff game back in 2012 against Jimmy Garrapolo and Eastern Illinois. Attendance that day was 4,367 on November 24th at Coughlin Alumni. Their attendance figures historically fade badly at the end of the year, sans a rivalry game. Maybe because of outdoor temps? I shudder to think what playoff attendance would be for a game at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls. I think we would have a great chance at making a good bid and hosting IF we win out.
  9. We didn't need him and he should have redshirted. Our coaches are idiots and have no clue what they are doing again.
  10. The only thing more obvious than your lack of real football knowledge is your pessimistic attitude overall. I'm also willing to bet that there are many on here that have more real football knowledge in their left pinky than "your buddy in Missoula". Did they play bad that game? Absolutely. Are they the best right now? No. Does Deion Harris have the tools to be the best corner to ever play at UND? No question. If and when he figures some things out, I think he will be. That's up to him. I seriously just wish you and others were more positive and realistic. Objectivity is always fine, but jeez...
  11. True sophomore, True freshman walk-on who had his shirt pulled 2 weeks ago and RS freshman. Great insight and contribution today to this thread and forum though.
  12. Now if anyone wants to talk about embarrassing, there it is right there... How can supposed "professionals" allow that to happen? That is flat-out laziness and lack of preparation. Terrible.
  13. Oops, spoke too soon I guess...
  14. Offensive line dominating line of scrimmage and besides the trick play, UND defense playing well so far (I know, it's still early). Nothing too negative to bitch about so far, so nobody is here...
  15. Wish we had that 34 yard FG earlier.
  16. One thing we also have to remember is that this is life in the FCS and more specifically the Big Sky Conference. I'm not saying we should accept this loss, because it was a bad one. This loss hurt. However, this conference top to bottom has improved dramatically since even our arrival into the conference. Even a few years down the road when we are heavily-favored against BSC teams below us, we will have some losses like this here and there. Just ask Montana, who lost to Weber State at home last week for the first time in almost 30 years. You obviously want to avoid them at all costs, but it was/is inevitable, especially given the injury and youth and depth situation. I just hope we can rebound from here on out, get healthy and stay healthy.
  17. I 100% disagree with this and believe this is incorrect. 2 different staffs have come up with the same conclusion. But you have a right to your opinion on that.
  18. Correct. Which tells you how well he was doing at QB.
  19. And it's not close... It took Hendrickson 4 years to finally get a chance to get on the field, more from a mental standpoint.
  20. How many QBs actually SCORE on the QB power plays for TDs vs Wyoming and Portland State? Sure they hit the hole and break upfield, but do they get caught and are forced to snap it again? How about turning the corner and beating the edge on the naked boot on 3rd down today to end the game? You can't even have that play on your call sheet with some other QBs.
  21. A lot of truth here... But you forgot: receivers dropping balls, catching the ball and falling down after a good throw, receivers running the wrong routes. I believe I saw all 3 today if I wasn't mistaken. Bottom line is Studsrud needs to continue to develop and get better at everything you mentioned. Studsrud fits exactly what the OC wants to do with this offense for playcalling and personnel (sans the throwing part at this point).
  22. Sorry. Poor attempt at humor and levity. My apologies.
  23. I bet you could throw a football over them mountains...
  24. I can certainly understand the displeasure with the playcall on the flea-flicker and ultimate horrible decision by studsrud to throw it, but that 3rd down call on the Studsrud boot was fantastic. Studsrud still needs to improve. Great win!!
  25. Iwarri Smith running with the mentality of a track guy, like I had feared back in May and got ripped for.
