Correct. They are on the road as we speak. I'd guess 8-10 kids this weekend. These first 2 weekends, as always, will be huge for getting top-end kids.

Committee Chair Wilson: (paraphrasing here) "Yeah, we weren't quite convinced that UND was playoff-worthy so we stayed up REALLY late just for that reason (since there was nothing else to watch or wait for)....til like 2 am or something....to watch them $h!tstomp Cal-Poly and hold them to 153 yards rushing in a game that wasn't as close as the final score...." Cal-Poly Rushing Yards vs PAC 12 opponent and 4 playoff teams: Montana 330 yds Arizona St 284 yds UNI 350 yds Portland St 420 yds Southern Utah 535 yds "....And THEN we left them out. Just wanted to stay up and watch the game and be sure they weren't worthy." Thanks for clarifying and justifying Mark! He goes around and around in circles hoping everyone sees his points, but it never happens. He never answered the "tougher" questions from GF or Fargo media that were asked of him in print or on the air. The guy is a flat-out liar. Yeah I just went there. That game didn't matter. Let's get the ISU AD on off the record...

Oh I see.....another fly in the soup.... The ol' "unimpressive low quality win" doomed us ALONG with our FBS win and "low quality loss".... Makes sense.
-
LOL this guy is going in circles and contradicts himself and the committee over and over...It is laughable.
-
I dont expect anyone to take what I say as gospel, just sharing what I was told. I'm interested to see which type of tough questions will be asked to Wilson on 740 here shortly. Do they ask about the bracket being decided before UND kicked off? If so, what is his response? It's not like there weren't 10 other people there. The question I have is if anyone would call him out for any untruths? Too taboo for a committee member to step up? I would love to be a fly on the wall in the Fullerton/Idaho St AD convo that followed the selection process. Grab your popcorn...will be interesting to see what transpires, if anything.
-
What's your line again about your "sources" on here?....
-
Facts: We were out before the 9 pm EST kickoff in San Luis Obispo. It was already decided by the committee. Our game didn't even matter. They didn't want to wait up til midnight to debate it. Get the bracket done and go to bed. Ironic thing is they really only had to wait until 10:30 pm EST to figure it out. The Idaho State AD fought his ass of for us but could not change the committee's minds: "UND is playing the best football in our league right now." Big Sky office is red-hot. Can't believe we haven't heard from Fullerton on this yet.

Yeah you're right, I'd say Deboer is definitely a legit mutual target. However, I think Caruso is kind of a pipe dream for them. They would love to have him, but I don't see him wanting to go back to Vermilion. Again, just my educated guess here. PhilySioux makes a good point on Jed Stugart as a viable option as well. The Beschorner head-coach-in-training-thing maybe has changed since I had heard that a while back, who knows. (EDIT: Sounds like maybe it has changed)
-
I believe current OC and former USD QB Wes Beschorner is in line to be named with Glenn out, but I could be wrong.

Then maybe Patty and "Touchdown" should get off their collective asses and extend a 'silent invite' so UND has a decision to make....like 5 years ago. Whether myself or anyone else here agree or disagree with being members of the BSC or MVFC/Summit, I think we can all agree they are incompetent at best for not having the leadership and vision to have done so already. It's just amazing. And please, I'm really not looking to engage in that debate with anyone about that argument specifically here right now, regardless of the side you're on.

That's fine, but we didnt beat Idaho State or Weber. We did however, beat Portland at their place, Wyoming at their place and then-ranked Montana State. And WIU shouldn't have been beaten by ndsu 59-7. And they should have won 7 games or more. And Eastern Illinois should have.... Doesn't matter. The records and resumes are what they were and clearly the committee made a gigantic mistake by not including UND in the field.
-
You are 100% correct. That is completely intentional. Now they can say "see, we were right on WIU" when everyone knows Dayton is a complete mirage.
-
Rodgers will be playing inside linebacker. Unless they decided to move him recently which I haven't heard.

This is shocking...

I too was extremely disappointed that Ratelle didnt make the cut. However, upon further review, the 3 finalists are absolutely deserving and studs for some pretty good defenses. Not sure who you would even take out in favor of Ratelle. Some impressive numbers there. I feel like if we were a year further down the road and Ratelle put up similar stats on this defense, it might be different. But again, that type of respect is earned.

Ufff....grew up watching Kory play at Memorial Stadium as a kid. He was a big reason things got turned around before and heading into 1993. What a sad deal. Praying for him and his family. Just terrible.

Fire Rudolph, sit Studsrud, start Bartels and mollberg, Bubba Ball is awful, don't pull the shirts off kids....blah blah blah....you can go over and over and over all the amazing things said here throughout the year. This place and others like it: where misguided passion for a team to be successful turns to fanatical idiocy. Some have an innate ability to find the worst and negative in any positive situation and will turn on a dime if things don't go right. But hey, If nothing else, it's humorous. Regardless of the outcome this Saturday and beyond this season, I am so friggin' excited about the future of this program right now that it makes me giddy like a little kid. Love the 'tongue in cheek' post!! GO UND!!!

If you have the hockey and basketball games at the same time, then all of the hockey fans who normally also attend basketball games too, wont go that night. I'm just having trouble understanding strictly from an attendance standpoint, how much affect not having the hockey fans available would have for a mens bball game. Under that assumption, you'd think the 3,000 seat Betty would be sold out every night there is a game when the hockey team is out of town or not playing.

SDSU will always be tough to beat on a kid in Nebraska based on proximity. That has always been the case and now they have better facilities than before and the team is perennially better than before. Have to pass 3 Dakota schools up I-29 before you get to UND. It's impressive what we've gotten out of Nebraska over the years given the variables.
-
SDSU finally had the chance to host their first ever FCS playoff game back in 2012 against Jimmy Garrapolo and Eastern Illinois. Attendance that day was 4,367 on November 24th at Coughlin Alumni. Their attendance figures historically fade badly at the end of the year, sans a rivalry game. Maybe because of outdoor temps? I shudder to think what playoff attendance would be for a game at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls. I think we would have a great chance at making a good bid and hosting IF we win out.
-
We didn't need him and he should have redshirted. Our coaches are idiots and have no clue what they are doing again.

The only thing more obvious than your lack of real football knowledge is your pessimistic attitude overall. I'm also willing to bet that there are many on here that have more real football knowledge in their left pinky than "your buddy in Missoula". Did they play bad that game? Absolutely. Are they the best right now? No. Does Deion Harris have the tools to be the best corner to ever play at UND? No question. If and when he figures some things out, I think he will be. That's up to him. I seriously just wish you and others were more positive and realistic. Objectivity is always fine, but jeez...

True sophomore, True freshman walk-on who had his shirt pulled 2 weeks ago and RS freshman. Great insight and contribution today to this thread and forum though.

Now if anyone wants to talk about embarrassing, there it is right there... How can supposed "professionals" allow that to happen? That is flat-out laziness and lack of preparation. Terrible.
