    UNA

UNA Grad, I hope it has nothing to do with what UNA has going on now, But Wallace ran a dirty program at UNA..something to do with illegally funneling money through the financial aid office to athletes that in effect created "extra" scholarships---not sure how many as it was 9-10 years ago, but I seem to remember saying that the number of scholarships was equal too or greater than ALABAMA? Pretty sure they were put on probation and probably should have had their 3 National Titles stripped as they were certainly illigitimate.
  2. Freakin Embarrassing!!!!!!!!! If I played against the law school dork I might "accidently" get my elbow up???
  3. Wow!!! I can't believe what I am seeing in this pic. who would have thought that Doug Woog would look so tall in the Goldy getup?
  4. Who cares about what is going on on the bisonville board, I have went there a few times and the level of discourse is pretty juvenile.---pretty much the Beavis and Butthead crowd---at about a 5th grade level, it is embarrassing at best.
  5. The last couple of weeks it seems to be a free for all. I have a vip or suite parking pass or whatever they call it and for the previous 2 seasons and first few weeks of this year it was never any problem pulling up and getting a good parking spot in the assigned lot, but the last couple of weeks the attendents are doing a !@#!$ job of directing traffic---while driving thru the lot looking for spot I counted no less than 50 vehicles without passes(and that is only going up and down a couple rows) , what's the point of having a pass if they don't patrol who parks there? anyone else have this problem lately?

    UND vs. UNO

My memory may be wrong on this, but I seem to remeber Omaha taking a knee once or maybe twice as they were running out the clock and then on 2nd or 3rd down throwing a bomb when the players were standing around. anyone else remember this or am I wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.
  7. Love Eddie for entertainment value only. He will be in trouble if he gets into an unscripted debate, simply because he does not know and will have a hard time remembering where he stands on several issues since he has been on both sides of them just in the last 3 years. He will do fine on a show where he is going to be a mouthpiece with some personality. The DNC will give him his script and he will go from there. When a caller gets into any serious debate with him and he gets confused by facts, he will simply talk over the caller and change the subject or drone them out. The Dems think that people are clamoring for another point of view on talk radio. Alan Colmes is as good as they have, and he is entertaining and pretty well informed, but sometimes you have to wonder if he really believes what he is saying. The Dems do not seem to realize that the reason conservative talk radio is popular is that many look for a medium where people are in touch with what they feel and believe and it sort of balances out the liberal spin that you get on CNN, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, and CBS.(If those mediums had any sense of balance, Talk Radio would not have anywhere near the popularity that it has because it would not be needed.)
  8. Goon, I think you have a short memory....Jesse Ventura was actually the Governor of Minnesota for 4 years. The ND voters are not the most complicated lot....Look at our congressional delegation. I know that they are always "fighting for ND" and they own 2 flannel shirts that the 3 of them share. . If it was a "fight", I think the referee would have stopped it years ago.
  9. Once the game is in hand, a loud chant of "Go Staht tha cahh." Heavy Eastern accent. We tried to get it started with heavy Boston Accent last Friday but didn't catch on. Not a student, the people around us thought it was pretty funny. For signs Yale...The UND of the East...............wannabees
  10. Is this for real? The only thing funnier would be if bisonfan1234 was bisongrad1234. On another note, in one of the fishwraps today they were talking about the history of the nickel and the many times that students attempted to steal it. The article stated that on 1 occasion NDSU students dressed as janitors were able to steal the nickel.....I believe that this report is in error. They were not actually dressed as janitors...........they were actually interning.
  11. According to Blais at Sioux Boosters today in Fargo---Zach will not play this weekend.
  12. Rumor has it that Josh Johnson is actually enrolled at UND and taking classes this semester?? Looks like his heart truly was not into basketball anymore. good luck to him.
  13. Awesome, nice going today bison. give credit where credit is due. Montana is probably not going to be in the upper echelon of 1aa this year but they have been an established program for the last 7 or 8 years and beating them in their house in front of a large crowd is a quality win for the herd. Plus as a Sioux alum in Fargo, this makes making $$ off my bison rooting friends that much easier, it does not take much for them to get cocky and think it is the 80's again(hell i got points last year). Right now I am asking for 14 1/2 points I would only ask for 11 1/2 if it was in the FARGODOME(our home away from home). So which of the following is true?? Craig Bohl did not have a clue at Nebraska.(Same players this year and they look like the blackshirts of old)(The Charley mcBride days)) or was he the scapegoat last year? Bob Babich was and is a horrible coach. Tony Stauss is that much of a difference maker.
  14. who cares if they were 5-6 or 6-5 last year, either way it is not good enough to make the playoffs and a run at a national title, it is in the past, i am looking forward to this year---not talking about things that happened 13 or 14 years ago like a pathetic Bison fan
  15. USA USA USA Does anyone not think of the 1980 Miracle on Ice whenever you hear that chant? He will be truely missed. I am glad I had the opportunity to shake his hand and get his autograph last year at "The Ralph". I am not a big autograph guy, but that was an opportunity to meet a true Icon.
  16. You can't make stuff like this up! What a well written , factual, articulate article. This guy may be the next Mike McFeeley, I think the Pisek Pioneer Press is calling! Did someone say Pulitzer!
  17. Will be heading to McGovern's, should be manageable on thursday.
  18. At the Sioux Booster meeting today in Fargo, Brad Berry was there representing the hockey team as Blais had to be on a conference call for the WCHA. He made a comment along those lines and said that they hoped that would be O.K. with Governor Schultz. Pretty funny.
  19. I think it would be interesting to see if Ed could more of an embarrassment to North Dakota than Ventura was to Minnesota. They are both blowhards with the perfect combination of arrogance and ignorance in that they are both so arrogant that they have no idea how ignorant they are.

    UND vs. MSU-M

You guys are confusing me. I am not sure what the city The Minnesota State University Screaming Eagles campus is located at, but I ma pretty sure it is not in Mankato or Moorhead! I am pretty confident that the University of Minnesota campus is located in Crookston with satelllite sites in the Twin Cities and Duluth. Please correct me if I am wrong.
  21. Dagwood's is always a good place to have a few beverages and some good food, Whitey's and Bonzer's are also good spots. Most of the places have a bus going to and from the game so you do not have to worry about parking. I would wish the Bulldogs good luck this weekend, but I really wouldn't mean it--but I do hope you have a good time at the Ralph--remember to head up to the North Bar between periods.
  22. The tv coverage was horrible, I was getting dizzy and thought I was going to have a seizure. I have not seen camera work like that since The Blair witch Project. The West Fargo public access has better quality work than that. I actually called my friend who was in his car driving back to town and listening to the game on the radio to find out what was going on--since the tv coverage was horrible and the audio on the tv was brutal. The second most dissappointing aspect of the game to the loss, was that when we heard Terry Cullen was going to be the between period interview, we had money riding on whether Pat Sweeney would even know that Matt Cullen had been traded to Florida the day before, but Bredahl did the interview.
  23. Listen up Joe Billy Bob(JBB)--if you don't want to let the facts get in the way of your arguement, why don't you go back to one of those pathetic bison sights--thye are hilariously fun by the way.
  24. At Sioux boosters today in Fargo, rich Glas seemed pretty confident that when UND files it's appeal on Wednesday or Thursday that the committee will show a little common sense and Myron Allen will be have his eligibility reinstated by the 5 member committee--hopefully sooner than later. He said they have already asked for Myron's class schedule so the conference call can be arranged. By the way the guest mc at todays sioux Booster meeting in Fargo was none other than Ed Schultz----just kidding!!!
  25. So lets see if I have this straight, the NCC looked at the tape and is able to confirm that the USD player traveled he did not get the ball off in time and both feet were inside the 3 point line but we are going to let the call stand unbelievable
