The knock on him is he isn't that strong a skater? I have seen him play, seems to skate well enough to always be in the right place at the right time. Had a couple goals on Thursday night which didn't hurt his cause as that was the only USHL game on the schedule that night and there was around 30 scouts/college coaches on hand.

Unless you have the sheer incompetance of Benedetto every game we will be alright. They didnt cost us the game last night but they had a hand in making sure we didnt get back in it. It's one thing if a team is blowing by you alll night and you are getting called for hooking and holding and obstruction...but that wasnt the case. We had no less than 6 penalties last night for nothing more than a nice clean check, hell the 2 or 3 that were in open ice would have drawn the ire of a womens coach.

Yeah. The last 2 years he has signed on at the end of the year for the playoff push for Houston.

I was a student at the time and remember going to that game as well. Kurt Otto put it in the air like 67 times that day for UND. A couple of Bailey's teammates that day also went on to have pretty decent NFL careers....Heath Sherman and the recent hall of fame inductee John Randle.

Birkholz will miss at least 7 games if he doesnt go to Major Juniors. Leddy will sign if offered.

I will buy UND merchandise in the future as long as it says UND on it and nothing else. I have enough Sioux gear to last me for years and I will never buy any merchandise that has another name on it....just my choice. Maybe we could change our name to the Green Eagles, similar to Marquette changing their name to the Golden Eagles 16 years ago and it still hasn't really taken hold for them as most fans at their games are decked out in Warrior gear.

I can proudly say that when I was a member of Student Senate that I had a big hand in stopping "Thunder the Bleacher Creature" from happening at least temporarily as I convinced our body not to give a nickel to that embarrassment of a whatever that was......unfortunately they obtained funds else elsewhere down the road. As far as the Sioux name goes....you guys go ahead without me, I am going to stick with The Fighting Sioux at least until the people of Standing Rock are heard. I will be cheering for the Sioux next year and for many years to come.
