Mac Millan gets power play time and as the game goes along and the benches get shorter move him up to a wing with Rowney's line and move Drake into Rodwells spot on Pattyn's line. At the end of the game last night I was uncomfortable everytime I saw Gleason or Mark Mac on the ice.

If the Gopher/Beaver series is called similarily to our series this weekend(i.e. WCHA, circa 2002) and the Gophs only get 5 power play opportunities all weekend I predict that the Gophs will come up a little short of 4 points as well.

Loved it....but even more satisfying was watching UND make the Gophers essentially tap out. We would dump the puck in and send in our forecheckers and about half way through the second period the Gopher players wouldn't go get the puck as they were tired of getting hit.

Only 2 teams have won the tourney having to play 3 games to do it. UMD and UND and both of them had home ice the previous weekend to get there so I don't remember a team lower than 5th in regular season ever winning the MacNaughton.

Marquette changed name in 1994 and the cheers at their basketball games are still "Lets go Warriors" and a large percentage of their fans wear Warrior apparel.

I would have to agree. Watched a good bit of the Gophers/Huskies series and I thought the Gophers were the better team both nights. I think St. Cloud might have a couple more highly skilled guys but as Lou Nanne once said....physicality is also a skill...... and it is something the Gophers have added over the last couple years due in no part I am sure to being pushed around by UND for the preceeding 3-4 years.
