I don't...I don't even

Well as long as we are all playing A.D. Why not think outside the box a little bit. Mussman just signed a contract extension so he is still going to be the head coach. I don't think there is any doubt that the defensive coaching staff needs to be shaken up a bit. Steve Stanard is the current linebackers coach for the best FCS defense in the country an hour down the road. He has experience as a coordinator at the FBS level. No idea if he would have any interest but if we weren;t able to offer him more money to be our d coordinator than he makes as linebackers coach then we have bigger issues in our program than coaching and personnel.

Interesting. But I think their loss to UND will keep them out of the playoffs unless they beat Montana St. and finish 8-3....their biggest problem is going to be the way the league is going to end up. EWU will end up 9-2 or 8-3 NAU will end up 10-1 or 9-2 Cal Poly will end up 9-2 or 8-3 Montana State will end up 10-1 or 9-2 Don't think the Big Sky will get 5 teams in....they would likely need to beat Montana State and finish 8-3 and have Cal Poly finish 8-3 to get the 4th spot.

UAA moved their pressure up the ice on Saturday and we didn't really adjust to that....I thought the last 8-10 minutes of the 2nd we looked like we might have figured it out but in the 3rd we reverted back to what we had done the first period and a half. I will say the 3rd and 4th lines were moving back to help out the D get it out of our end but other than the second half of the 2nd period our top 2 lines seemed content to look for the long passes from the D or let them bring it out on their own.

I like Schuler as well but I really hope he has worked on his quickness and release. He is the best pure shooter on the team, but he needs a quicker release and needs to have a little quicker feet on defense.

I will break it down further. NDSU controls the tempo of the game on offense and their defense gets on and off the field in a hurry. In adding these up I was a little surprised by the results but that could be because my mind was a little skewed by our last couple games, What I mean by that is there was over 180 snaps in the Montana game. For the season NDSU averages 69.9 plays a game on offense and averages 6.19 yards per snap(4,95 per rush and 8.12 per pass) while UND has averaged 69.8 plays per game and averages 6.78 yards per snap(4.59 per rush and 8.89 per pass).....so saying NDSU offense isn't good is a stretch, they might not seem as dynamic as UND and yes their D puts them in nice position alot but they are pretty efficient. Defense is a completely different story. NDSU defense is only on the field an average of 51.3 plays per game and only gives up 4.18 per play(3.24 per rush and 5.36 per pass)....that is filthy good. UND defense is on the field an average of 71.13 plays per game and gives up an average of 6.37 per play(5.46 per rush and 7.56 per pass). when you throw in the fact that NDSU is undoubtably deeper depth wise(allowing them to be fresher) than UND is currently and on the field 20 less snaps a game...... It is obvious we need to be able to control the clock a little better on offense until we build some defensive depth.

NDSU beat Central Michigan...actually they destroyed them. That was far and away the most impressive win they have over FBS schools as while they aren't in a "name" conference they are far and away the best team NDSU has played.

When I watched it live I didn't even consider it possible that he could have caught the ball and came down in bounds. When they showed the replay I was like holy $h!t that was actually a touchdown!

Ok. So Western Illinois and UNI are better than Idaho State and Weber State....conceded.
-
No Brainers...Robert Morris, Prairie View, and USD. Should win....Colorado State...I know they are FBS, but they are terrible...hate to go comparitive score, but SD State smoked them. Interesting Game...Youngstown State...I don't think UND is better than them but they would have matchup problems with UND....a no turnover game and we get the ball last and I give as an outside shot. Tough Matchups for UND.....Indiana State and UNI....UNI is pretty physical and Indiana State is tough to move the ball against....likely losses.

Watched it on Tv and rewinded a few plays. Hanson got the first down easily...horrible spot....Golloday catch was a TD and Int hit the ground.

This was true 2 or 3 years ago...The Gophers have a different make-up now and Guentzel has added a little sandpaper to their attitudes.
-
Dumbest post today. Even topped Ole's! Congrats!
-
This is like the Longest Yard and Muss was told to tank the game at halftime.....embarassing
-
Wonder if it is attitude related? He has been getting less and less snaps every week anyway....which is a good thing. Can't play safety and be afraid of contact.

I have no problem with the call on 3rd and 1 if you are planning on going for it on 4th down.
-
Wow. You are on an island on this one chief.
-
Or that was an excuse they used when it was convenient.
-
Half serious with this......should we ever punt? The field position strategy is out the window with this defense. We just have to assume the other team is probably going to score every time they get the ball so the only factors to consider are how many yards they have to move the ball and how much time they will take off the clock.

Wow. A few people in this thread are showing an amazing lack of hockey knowledge. Anyone who doesn't think Budish is a good hockey player is killing any credibility they may have had to pontificate on the game of hockey.

They are both good backs....in the eye test, having seen both I would take Bauman but I will say Poly is the better team.
