  1. Well for point of reference, Sacremento State gave up 600 yards and 56 points to a 3-3 NAIA school Southern Oregon.

Well. I was in the let the season play out camp.....watching this debacle today has given me 2nd thoughts. Faison should probably just make the move after today. Really no point in waiting until the season is over. 7-4 was a reasonable minimum expectation this year....can't get there after today.
  3. Just saying that there are several guys who put up big numbers in the USHL who don't when they get to college and also several guys who don't really put up numbers in the USHL who all of a sudden become pretty respectable scoring threats in college.
  4. It is Jonny Brodzinski's stats. I am not saying he will put up those numbers again this year, but it is an example of a kid who was buried on the 3rd line in Fargo for whatever reason, but did learn to be responsible in his own end and they even had him killing penalties which helped earn him Motzko's confidence to send him out there with LeBlanc. Someone else in this thread asked for other examples.... www.hockeydb.com do it yourself until you realize you were wrong.
  5. Here is one example of how USHL or junior stats do not always translate to college success Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/- GP G A Pts PIM 2010-11 Fargo Force USHL 10 2 3 5 2 2 2 0 0 0 0 2011-12 Fargo Force USHL 58 10 12 22 18 5 6 1 1 2 0 2012-13 St. Cloud State WCHA 42 22 11 33 10

Not sure if it was this thread or another, but my thoughts were that Tibesar would be the only candidate out there who would be or should be qualified for the position who is an ex UND player.....certainly not that he should be the only candidate....I would hope that Faison is doing his due diligence at this point and has at least picked up the phone and called Tibesar to gauge possible interest and to get feedback from him on other possible candidates if he isn't interested. I would also hope that he has made a list of potential candidates that he would encourage to apply although he probably can't call them while we have a coach in place due to them being on other staffs, recruting reasons, etc.

Wait. What? Is Muss blaming his failings on Lennon?

I guess it depends on your timeframe. When we went D1 and where our program was at the time in comparison to where NDSU was when they went....absolutely I expected us to make the playoffs our first year of eligibility as everyone should have.
  9. Why not until after the NDSU game?
  10. 7 and 4 would still be minimum expectation for me...hasn't changed since the schedule came out...if they go 7-4 with a win over EWU they probably make the playoffs.
  11. Well, I am not against saving his job....but the minimum standard is 7-4.
  12. If we don't make a move in football soon, maybe our new mascot can be and new song http://www.hark.com/clips/whxlqhkpbp-cricket-chirping-dot-mp3
  13. Do other places in town offer shuttle buses to the arena?

7-4 is the minimum level of expectation in year 6 with this tilted home schedule.

I would agree with this sentiment....although if the team again shows no interest in competing and it is apparent that Mussman can't get them to play with any heart or pride then I think the move needs to be made before the end of the season just so our players(especially kids who are redshirting and sophmores and freshmen who are currently in back-up roles) know that things are going to change. Might keep them from exploring their options, although if this staff recruited them we can only hope they are legit FCS caliber players. I don't like having to go with an interim coach but it might be the only option as it is unlikely that we would have a coaching candidate at this point in the season.
  16. Does anyone in the know have info on the undersized Galindo kid from Bismarck High as to whether he is a prospect for FCS? If he goes D2 he is going to put up ridiculous numbers but not sure it translates to FCS level. I went to the BHS/South game the other night and I know NDSU and UND are both looking at the Junior from South(Johanneson) but came away impressed by Galindo. he is 5-7 170 and was easily the fastest player on the field(in game conditions anyway) and his balance was incredible(state champion wrestler). He had 29 carries for 410 yards and 6 touchdowns. I thought I was watching Weston Dressler again but not sure if he can make transition to receiver like Weston did, but also not sure he couldn't stay at running back?
  17. Both these guys have pretty decent track records prior to NDSU
  18. I would add these 2 guys to the list. http://www.gobison.com/coaches.aspx?rc=598&path=football http://www.gobison.com/coaches.aspx?rc=590&path=football I don't want a coach who is going to continue molding us into a second rate "Big Sky" type team.....we need to return to physical pound the ball and have a nasty defense that teams hate to play against..... Does anyone think our teams in the 2000's would have given up 55 and 63 points to these teams even as a D2 funded team? I am certainly not saying we would have won these games but I am saying that Montana and Montana State would have at least had to crack some icepacks for the trip home.

Do you know who Greg is? He was a volunteer coach and one of best offensive linemen UND has had(NFL caliber). http://laworgs.depaul.edu/journals/sports_law/Documents/Redlingshafer%20med%20mal.pdf He walks with a cane and with a lot of pain but because of his dedication to UND fought through it and volunteered to come out and help. Now I am not privy to the parking spot story but if true.......

  21. Step outside and get some air....while you are out there, take a lap.
  22. Had on a Under Armour Sioux polo....must not have been you I saw then....just didn't think there were a lot of Bison fans in attendance. The guy I saw had on a green polo with Bison logo and was in the endzone walkway getting bukkakeed by a handful of Griz fans.
  23. I think I saw you there. Were you the guy in the Bison logoed polo with dirty knees and griz jizz running down your chin?
