I wouldn't say the name sucks, it is just generic. At the risk of being even more generic, the "fighting" part of the name should be dropped as it makes it sound like a 5th grade travel basketball team. The logo on the other hand is an embarrassment to the University and will be as long as it remains. As far as other nicknames and marketing concepts, there were easily a 8-10 that would have and could have been far superior to what we are trying to market currently. It is unfortunate but the whole process was amateurish.

That number is a little steep. We are more in the neighborhood of 250-400k a year in lost licensing revenue.

But how many of these came directly from the NTDP? Greene, Kristo, Gersich, Mattson, Cichy had at least a year in the USHL Forbort, Grimaldi, Ausmus, Thompson, Jones came directly from the NTDP. At least 2 of these, while playing well and helping UND win games never gave off the "all about the UND team and culture" vibe.

I lived at the ATO house for a couple years which was right across the street from the Valley Dairy in the alley. The "official" nickname for this location was "The Sweat" due to all the letters in the Sweetheart Bread sign being burned out except SWE T. This is also the location where "jesus" usually worked.

Depends on the judge. If you get a judge who looks at facts and figures then this is over before it starts, if you get a judge who rules on emotion and thinks it is his/her job to make up things as they go along...well, then it will turn into a huge clusterf^ck

From what I have seen and heard about the NDSU football coach I would say anyone questioning his character and integrity would be a 180 degrees from what I have gathered and from what others who have met or had dealing with him would say as well. Quality guy, quality coach.

Women's Hockey is basically USA, Canada, and a bunch of Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards competing for the bronze.

Initially I think it would be huge. Especially in October and November. UND is playing at Ohio St. and the Buckeyes have a home football game......hmmm Same holds true for any of these schools. All of them would be fun College football game day experiences to take in while traveling to watch our hockey team take care of business.
