I'm over it. Did UMD cross the line in the NCHC final. Yep. Has UND ever done the same? Yep. Have WCHA/NCHC refs ever failed to do their job before? Too many times to remember. I haven't really looked at UMD as a dirty program and only recently has the diving become an issue. I think they watched the physical play by both teams in the UND vs. Denver game and probably their captains put it in guys ears that "we" can't let them push us around like that and they came out a little over hyped to play physical and then Anderson and crew did nothing to reign it in and the game got out of control. I am pulling for a UMD vs. Denver final and not even sure who I would want to win that matchup. The UMD game in Minneapolis is still a little raw but as I said I am mostly over it and I don't really want Denver getting #8 until we have hung #9 in the rafters.

What about Gymnastics? ND has as many high schools that sponsor Gymnastics as Girl's Hockey. Should UND or NDSU have to offer Gymnastics so that our girls have something to stride for?

Hey. We moved several players up to the next level! Well 1 anyway and that was because he was at UND to play football but wasn't the most focused guy academically at the time. he washed out at UND, played JUCO hoops for a year and then played hoops at SDSU. Actually at one point our intramural team had 1 guy who played his freshmen year at VCSU, 1 guy who played his freshmen season at BSC, the guy referenced above who was runnerup for Minnesota Mr. Basketball and played FB at UND until he left school and ended up playing hoops at SDSU and 3 other guys who had offers at all the smaller ND schools(BSC, Lake Region, VCSU, DSU, etc.).We had a stretch where we took 3rd, 1st, and 2nd. The teams that beat us had players like Tracy Martin(FB, former NYJ) and other football players and UND basketball washouts. We always went undefeated in the Fraternity Division and usually won by lopsided margins. When we knew games were going to be ugly we would play hard man to man until the other team scored and then settle into a relaxed zone. Played the TKE house and jumped to a 37-0 lead before they scored and they held the ball at the end of the game when they figured out we were trying to beat them by 100(think we won by 96 or 97)

The worst decision The U.S. Women's team made was scheduling games against and getting beat by mediocre Minnesota boys High School teams.

Not too mention that in order for 25 women to be able to play hockey(most, not from the area) we gas Dickinson, Mayville, Valley City and Williston entirely, not too mention the 3-400 athletes at these schools who are in large part local kids. The fact we had to cut any sports is unfortunate and I feel for the athletes and coaches who have had their lives uprooted, but it is what it is. I take no delight in it, but it's done and I am already tired of the whining.

I would bet 90% of the people reading this forum were not aware they played tonight and now that they do will go on with whatever they were already going to do this weekend.

Agree with most of this...except Am I a fan of the new logo... not in the slightest, but it could have been worse. I would question is this is possible?

Is there a way the moderators can pin this thread somewhere so it doesn't keep showing up on the main page? Or at the very least can whoever started this thread maybe change the thread title? Every time I open Siouxsports.com I see this question and the answer stays the same. Our sh!t tier logo isn't going to get any better. It is still the same unimaginative steaming pile of crap as when it was first revealed.....I am not sure how many months or years from now they will realize that at the very least it needs to be tweaked if not completely overhauled, then, and only then would this "question" deserve an answer.

The other thing that bothers me besides being able to see the incontrovertible evidence somewhere that must exist to overturn this goal is that the Linesman is in perfect textbook position on this play(i.e., he isn't trailing the play nor does he have the play coming at him but is perched on the blue line) and normally in this situation if the linesman gets the call wrong it is probably 80-90% he misses it the other way out of caution.

Another option for Jost would be to come back to UND, captain the Canadian World Junior team, load up his summer school schedule so that he would be in position to graduate after 3 full years and mull his decision based on whether or not Sakic has got the dumpster fire that is the Avalanche under control.....if it doesn't appear they are moving in the right direction he could play a 3rd year at UND, graduate and declare himself a free agent.
