Adidas top selling shoes

Adidas is hot right now but that is based mostly on their retro items and shoe sales and they are doing well in the athleisure category. Under Armour has lost some ground to them over the last year for sure and they dropped the ball on athleisure apparel and their shoes are struggling. I sell Nike Golf, Under Armour, and Adidas to corporate and I can tell you I get almost zero requests from customers for Adidas branded product although this area of the country usually trends a few months behind the coasts and retail is obviously a different animal.

Under Armour and Nike are far and away the best selections. Adidas would be third. Anything else and you look 3rd rate.

I wouldn't say the name sucks, it is just generic. At the risk of being even more generic, the "fighting" part of the name should be dropped as it makes it sound like a 5th grade travel basketball team. The logo on the other hand is an embarrassment to the University and will be as long as it remains. As far as other nicknames and marketing concepts, there were easily a 8-10 that would have and could have been far superior to what we are trying to market currently. It is unfortunate but the whole process was amateurish.

That number is a little steep. We are more in the neighborhood of 250-400k a year in lost licensing revenue.

At least 2 of these, while playing well and helping UND win games never gave off the "all about the UND team and culture" vibe.
