Since we are already working on 2020-21 and 2021-22 who are the kids we should be after? These are the top ranked kids that as far as I know are still uncommitted as far as Americans go. Forwards Stephen Halliday---probably going the CHL route Matthew Beniers Thomas Bordeleau Patrick Schmiedlin Johnny Waldron Ty Tullio---probably going to the CHL route Chase Yoder Jimmy Doyle Matthew Knies Jacob Perreault Riley Piercey--probably going the CHL route D-Men Scott Morrow John Opilka Spencer Evans Avery Winslow Gerard Keane Goalies Xavier Medina Noah Grannan Joseph Tynan

He is a good player and would be a nice addition. He is an 01 but is a sophomore. He is slated to join Denver in 2020-21 I believe. I am sure UND would have liked to have had him but all schools have recruiting boards going out 5 and 6 years and maybe his style is similar to someone already in the pipeline or maybe he had no interest in attending UND. In 20-21 we already have the #1 and #4 2002 born defensemen in the country coming in and the #4 2002 born forward coming in(if he accelerates his schooling).....Like I said before our 2018-19 class might look a little underwhelming but we are bringing in some older kids next year but our 2019-2020 and 2020-21 classes are as good or better than anyone in the country as it stands right now.

So which players have we "lost" to Denver?
-
We have 11 Minnesota kids on our roster currently. Recruiting classes are normally between 6 and 8 kids and if you look at a 4 year cycle having 3 Minnesota kids would seem to be pretty normal.

Well at 11% we have a higher percentage of people in favor of changing the goal song than we had vote for the new nickname....lets get it done!

Doesn't all have to be downtown. http://www.simon.com/mall/coconut-point/dining https://www.gulfcoasttowncenter.com/directory/ https://www.thebelltowershops.com/directory/dining-and-entertainment/2138210030 https://www.visittampabay.com/listings/international-plaza-and-bay-street/2891/ https://yborcityonline.com/ These are popping up slowly in Fargo and West Fargo but seemingly at the cost of private developers while anyone who wants to open anything downtown gets incentives. Fargo is about 4-5 miles wide and 8 miles long and yet it seems like 85% of any city investment goes to a 5 block by 8 block area.

University of North Dakota Hockey 2017-18 Season

105 is the magic number. -
Depends. I live in South Fargo and other than my work taking me to other parts of the Fargo-Moorhead area, I rarely get north of 13th Ave. South, let alone Main Avenue. It gets frustrating to see every available nickel or tax incentive spent on some pet project because it is downtown....Downtown Fargo is pretty cool but a big reason for it's popularity is because that is where the city has put all of it's resources.

Wow, they have 13 3's spread out among 8 different players. -
Well. I guess I will just keep it as my ringtone then.

Is it time for UND to change up the goal song? with our new Athletic Director being from Connecticut and growing up a Whalers fan I think it would be a good time to make the switch!
-
Been saying this all year. If UND gets in they have a shot for 2 huge reasons. 5 on 5 I haven't seen a team we can't play with or in most cases a team that can play with us. Reason 2, the refs usually put their whistles in their pockets so their are normally less special teams opportunities in post season. UND is capable of beating anyone in the country 2-1 or 3-2 and unfortunately we are just as capable of losing to anyone in the country 2-1 or 3-2.

Carson Shanks! UND 1st ever NCAA tournament appearance. Loyola(Chicago)-1st NCAA tournament appearance in 33 years.

How long has that band been around?
-
I think Bart played at Minot State and Ross played at NDSU
-
I know it is coming back....should have never been cut in the first place.
-
Well amazingly. They are actually adding 2 more teams to make it even less competitive and yet they cut women's fastpitch which has at least 3-4 teams that have a shot in world competitions.

How many ND girls played hockey for UND from 2002-2003 until last year?

Look at who wrote it. He has always had great ideas for spending other people's money.

Title 9 worked against them.

I am not sure the Twins were only coming if Idalski was the coach, but they were not coming with Rivard here.

agree. that is why it is a mess this week.

Well with the NCHC moving into their last weekend of regular season play and everyone else moving into their tournament playoffs, the current pairwise is a mess.Going to take some tough decisions by the committee to keep everyone happy with this set-up.My best guess at how it would look. Had to move SCSU out of Sioux Falls to avoid conference match-up with tournament host team North Dakota. Since SCSU is the #1 seed and has to get on a plane, distance does not matter. I moved them to Bridgeport so they get the lowest ranked team. Since Penn St. is also a host team and a 4 seed currently, Notre Dame cannot play here so they are moved to Sioux Falls since they are also getting on a plane no matter where they go. Cornell is the 3 seed so they stay out East. I also swapped Providence and Northeastern for attendance reasons although not a huge factor as far as travel for either school goes. I could see them flipping the SCSU/Mercyhurst game with the Cornell/BC game but then you are taking BC out of Boston. If you just flip SCSU and Cornell you are making the #1 overall play BC in Boston.Sioux Falls, SD2-Notre Dame* vs. 14-UND8-UMD vs. 9-MinnesotaAllentown, PA4- Mankato St.* vs. 13-Penn State7-Clarkson vs. 10-MichiganBridgeport, CT1-SCSU* vs. 22-Mercyhurst*6-Ohio St. Vs. 12-ProvidenceWorcester, MA3-Cornell* vs. 15-B.C.*5-Denver vs. 11-NortheasternTeams on the bubble15-Nebraska-Omaha17-Northern Michigan18-Bowling Green19-Union College20-Western Michigan21-Boston U
