  1. I would give him 2 and 10. the next 2 games of the playoffs and the first 10 games of next season(maybe 5).
  2. He didn't go to another college?
  3. He does work for ESPN....probably hadn't hit the Virtue Signaling mandate in his contract yet.
  4. Agree. Not like the CHL ever cared that a kid had a verbal commitment or a signed one for that matter.
  5. I'll go with Forwards Nikita Kucherov(TB) Steven Stamkos(TB) Filip Forsberg(Nashville) Ryan Johansen(Nashville) Alex Ovechkin(Washington) William Karlsson(Vegas) Defense Victor Hedman(TB) P.K. Subban(Nashville) Roman Josi(Nashville) John Carlson(Washington)
  6. But he did stay at the Budget Inn Express last night.
  7. I hear ya. Some of these are bordering on trolling vs. pure stupidity
  8. Well when something is made up out of thin air and speculation it should probably just remain no news.
  9. Well, the recruiting and scouting services all have Jackson Kunz rated as the better prospect so there is that. There is more that goes into the process of the USNDT than raw ability.
  10. What would that be? Most of the top end talent for 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21 have already committed and we got more than our fair share of them. At this point it is all about specific needs and having guys in the pipeline to backfill for early departures and hopefully having made good connections on the kids that weren't considered high end recruits when they were 16-18 but take that next step in the USHL or other junior leagues.
  11. Well, next years class is pretty much finished unless they need/add a depth guy. We have top 3 ranked classes coming in for 2019 and 2020.

    Sandy?

Hell, that's a weekend at Augie's for you.
  13. And those underachieving Panzer brothers.
  14. Coaching, development, and culture are right there with recruiting.
  15. I agree for the most part. If you are good enough in todays age with the technology available...they will find you. I do think it is different for a kid from North Dakota or almost any other state other than Minnesota though...especially as it relates to the National Development Team. Bad habits can drift into your game when you are not being challenged so even a kid playing in a AAA midget program who is head and shoulders above his teammates and competition but not elite enough for the USNDT has to weigh the options of playing in the USHL or NAHL.
  16. Ira, I am not sure how many of the kids in the Elite league are competing in Fall Sports but part of the reason(in addition to extra games to offset leaving for the USHL) for the set-up and format of the league was to allow kids to be able to play fall sports(football on Friday nights) and then play 2-3 games of hockey on Saturday and Sunday.
  17. Well done. In a word.....sh!tsta!n
  18. And hasn't had a top 20 recruiting class in the last 5 years.
  19. I just about had a seizure trying to read that. Anyone else? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOXsi682OgA
  20. One only has to read Adam's non hockey tweets to see what kind of a person he is.
  21. I would hope this is a quick case and he gets stuck with UND's lawyer costs as well.
  22. Schuldt staying would be a little surprising as he turns 23 in May. He is in a situation where he probably has offers from half the league or better and if he has a good senior season and avoids injury that won't change. His brother plays for the Force and has committed to playing for UNO next year. Jackson isn't even 21 yet so he should be back as an undrafted free agent. Ryan Poehling will probably be back for his Junior season as he is only 19 and I believe he had accelerated his learning to arrive a year early. New coach in St. Cloud could walk into a pretty good set-up for next year.
  23. True. Plus the Elite League season helps quite a bit. Minnesota State Hockey tournament is one of if not the best High School tournament in the U.S. But, something to be said for playing against older competition and being at the front of the line for international competitions as well.
  24. Jeff Cox‏ @JeffCoxSports Follow Follow @JeffCoxSports More Best pro prospect who didn’t get NTDP offer out of camp was North Dakota commit Jackson Kunz. A USHL team is going to be very lucky to scoop up the power forward.
  25. Jeff Cox‏ @JeffCoxSports Follow Follow @JeffCoxSports More The top player at NTDP Evaluation Camp and the clear front runner for top NHL prospect in this age group is North Dakota commit Tyler Kleven, a left-shot D from Fargo Davies HS.
