Or they thought it was a cool picture, or maybe the idiot who put the picture on there didn't see that it was the Gophers or care. I doubt the herald staff stated, "put a picture with gophers skating all over the logo to show our disapproval of the logo"

We better get rid of the Vikings nickname then as well. I forgot that its wrong to show respect and remember ones heritage and culture. My grandparents are norwegian and when they pass away our culture and heritage will go with it, unless we do something about it. I'm not saying its our job to preserve Native American culture, but the Sioux, fans, and sports teams show the upmost respect to the logo and culture. My brother in law is Native American and does really well in business, he wears Sioux gear as well as his entire family. But their culture is dying as well.

I saw this the other day and it got me thinking about how I would react if we lost Sioux football. I'd feel like a part of my childhood is gone a little. Growing up, going to Sioux games at the old Memorial stadium. I don't follow Sioux football religiously like I do hockey, but still it'd be weird.

I highly doubt it has anything to do with cost. With all technology it takes someone to implement it on the broadcast. Considering the great job the crew does with reviews, video, and showing standings, I would be amazed if adding penalty time would cost really anything.

Thats a good argument, sv % is by far the best comparison to show a goalies success. You can't ignore GAA though, because a team defense may just give up a lot of shots. Patterson definitely MVP for Gophers.

I would definitely be surprised if Gregoire is gone after this year. I expect him to wear the A next year. Kristo, everything is up in the air. As long as everything works out medically, he should be back next year.
