Phoenix GM is interested in signing him. That doesnt mean he'd join them for the playoffs, in fact there is basically no way they'd bring him in for the playoffs. He'll get a 2-way contract and start out in Texas in the AHL. Thats no secret, but these claims that he's already signed are stupid unless there from a real source, which since were going on 2 days clearly wasnt a real source. It was speculation. ANYONE can speculate.

Clearly you know little about the WHL and their age maximums. Try another player in the rumor starting, it might be more believable.

If I'm Hextall I take the opportunity and sign. That's been his dream and when they want him sign now. That being said, it'll be a tough loss considering the leadership factor and the culture that Hexy helped foster here will be tough to replace.

He definitely fits their style, whether he'll get signed now or next year is yet to be seen. With the injury issues he's had the last several years, I'd wait and see before signing him.

Nice to see that he'll be in the Minnesota system, it'll be tough to crack into the lineup with Minnesota considering their defensive prospects, but still great for him. I don't think we've seen the last of Chay in Grand Forks. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back coaching at UND.

Simpson isn't going anywhere. He's barely 18 and is finally draft eligible. He'll play a major role for us on the blueline next year with all the defense departures.

Good season for the Sioux, not great but good season. Not happy when it ends like a 2-0 game when we completely outplayed Michigan, but oh well. I keep telling myself its just a game and that happens. Lots of positives for the season getting the Reg Cup and WCHA tourney cup are several of the highlights.

I disagree, I think UMD has a far better following than Notre Dame. A UND/UMD final in St Paul would be epic.
