I wouldn't read much into this probably a little easier for Air Force to get up for a game against #2 UND then Huntsville and it isn't like UND didn't dominate most of that game anyway just couldn't finish on chances.
-
I wonder why he doesn't mention that Hughes was laying on the puck trying to get a whistle because Wisconsin had been stuck in their own zone for a while. Wisconsin should just be thankful they didn't get called for a delay of game penalty on that play.
-
A lot of that tonight? I only listened to TH and he made it sound like Rumpel was playing pretty well and Hak said in his postgame comments that Rumpel was really the difference for Wisconsin for a while and kept them in it.
-
Sounded like a pretty dominating performance for the most part with a few too many turnovers seemed like Rumpel really kept Wisconsin in the game for a while. Hopefully we can convert on a few more of our chances and clean up some things defensively and finish off the sweep tomorrow night.

I agree with getting St.Clair back in the lineup I just would have rather seen him in for Murphy as he hasn't brought a whole lot to the lineup when he has been in.
-
Most of his penalties so far have basically just been for hitting a guy too hard which I am fine with. The combination of physical presence and skill he brings up front is something I think we need in the lineup every game when he is healthy.

Very surprised to see Olson out I thought he has been one of our better forwards in most games maybe he got banged up in practice? Makes sense to get Thompson in with his upside and since he hasn't played in a while and Mattson really seems to be the only defenseman that you could take out right now.

I believe it was posted in the prospective recruits thread that Peski visited for the Air Force game this past weekend. Sean Lafortune @SeanLafortune ยท 23m 23 minutes ago Peski is a slick, offensive minded defender who pushes the play and manages the powerplay. Quick feet, agile and mobile in possession.

Agreed and on Parise I saw he is meeting with doctors today Vanek will fill in on the top line for him and that Parise won't go on the upcoming road trip.

Watching it again Granlund was pushed into the goalie by the defenseman and it looks like he immediately slides off to the side of the goalie. The Wild only played decent in the 3rd period and still would have had a chance to win if not for the questionable call. The reason the Penguins probably started their backup goalie is because I believe their starter has yet to record a win against the Wild. Watching Sports Center this morning Melrose also believes it was a bad call and should have been a goal. The thing I was more mad about was if it was goaltender interference then the ref should have called it on the ice and known it was a not a reviewable call but instead it seemed like he went and reviewed the play and came up with the goaltender interference call.
-
Wild looked like a different team in the 3rd and made put some pressure on but Pittsburgh held them off for a 4-1 win. Very interesting call in the game that would have made it 3-2, the call was no goal on the ice because it didn't go in but replay clearly showed the puck cross the line so the ref comes out and rules it no goal because of goalie interference as Granlund was pushed onto the goalie by a Penguin defenseman and the ref said that goaltender interference isn't a reviewable play even though he had just reviewed the play for 2 minutes and it was clear that he had not called that on the ice.

Sounds like there is a chance AP could play as soon as the Vikings next game. Some have said with Peterson already missing 8 games that the NFLPA will argue that is time served and he should just have to pay the money back if Goodell tries to suspend him longer.
-
No idea didn't hear anything on them but I'm sure there were some.

2 wins in a row heading into the bye week for the Vikings.

Looks like Molitor will be named new Twins manager on Tuesday. http://espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/story/_/id/11808250/minnesota-twins-offer-manager-contract-paul-molitor

Just a bad call seems like refs are going more off players reactions than the actual hit nowadays.
-
Just from looking at the numbers and the league he is playing my guess is Heisinger wouldn't be on scholarship if he ended up here.

The way they played last year I would probably agree with you but this season Ausmus and Stecher have both played much better than Thompson. The only one who I could maybe see him getting in for is Mattson. Thompson has struggled with turnovers and getting caught up in the offensive zone giving up odd man opportunities when he has been in the lineup this year while not really generating much offensively which was one of his strengths last year. Right now I just think it is either gonna take a real bad game from one of the defenseman or an injury for Thompson to get in the lineup.

Ugly performance but good to still find a way to get the win. Not sure what the penalty on Olson was for as it looked like a good clean hit and the OD penalty in OT was dumb but I'm not sure it was a 5 it looked like he eased up and didn't even extend his arms. Really hope this was Murphy's last shot unless it is because of injury he looked really bad on the Schmaltz line and really hurt the spacing and timing on that line early. Zane was good again tonight and really kept us in the game for a while. The Air Force goalie had pretty bad numbers and we made him look great for most of the game and I think a big part of that was missing the net so much and really not going hard to the net until later in the game. Really seemed like a lot of guys were trying to make the pretty play early and some of those guys just aren't those types of players and need to realize that.

Real tough loss for Ole Miss thought they were gonna pull it out when they looked to be going into score with about 7 minutes left then Wallace lost the ball landing on another player at the Auburn 10. Then it looked like they took the lead with a Treadwell TD but the review reverses the call to a fumble and add to that they have now lost their best WR for probably the season after losing one of their best defensive players for the season last week,

It would be kind of funny to see a team who lost to Indiana at home in the SEC Championship game.

Florida beats Georgia 38-20 big win for Muschamp and a huge hit to Georgia's playoff chances. Florida only completed 3 passes in the win but had a couple RBs run for over 190 yards.
-
TCU with a nice comeback to win at West Virginia 31-30 and keep their playoff hopes alive. Huge game for them in Fort Worth next week against Kansas State who plays Oklahoma State tonight.
-
Georgia down to Florida 31-7 in the 4th quarter a loss here could very well kill their playoff chances.
