  1. I would be very surprised if that was the case and would very much prefer just to see Olson put in the lineup rather than moving someone like Mattson or Thompson up front for a weekend and also having to put Panzarella in the lineup defensively then.
  2. I think depth is one of the strengths of this years team and now it will be tested. My guess is we won't see any of LaDue, MacMillan, and N. Schmaltz this weekend but even so the possible lines don't look too bad. Caggiula-Johnson-Parks Chyzk-Simonson-Olson OD-Gaarder-Poganski Pattyn-St.Clair-Murphy Mattson-Schmaltz Ausmus-Stecher Thompson-Poolman
  3. Always a big hole when a player with skill like Nick can't play but the depth on this team is one of its biggest strengths and I'd think Olson will probably be the one in for Schmaltz and he has been playing pretty good when he is in the lineup.
  4. Thanks, guess I needed to read that more carefully.
  5. MacMillan is out indefinitely there has been lots of different speculation about exactly how long he will be out but no official timetable. I think a big part of it will be how long it will take him to regain strength in the wrist after everything is healed my guess is we won't see him back until the 2nd half of the season.
  6. We all know Miami has some good high end forwards the question is do they have any depth or do they have to have these guys score every game?
  7. Bemidji State is probably better than CC, Bowling Green, Ohio State, and St. Lawrence.
  8. Release from UND on additional televised games http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=209761190
  9. Yes I believe that is usually the case but I thought it said in the travel blog that everyone did make the trip to Wisconsin.
  10. I guess I just don't think Miami is as good as some others here do yeah they have some high end forwards but their defense and goaltending still seems to be a bit questionable and I think we will take advantage of that. Even if LaDue and MacMillan are both out I am still expecting a Sioux sweep this weekend.
  11. Miami's skill up front will give our defenseman and goaltending a test this weekend but I'm still not sold at all on their defense and goaltending and think we can take advantage of that expecting for a home sweep this weekend.
  12. He must just really want to see the rivalry renewed like all of us it would make for a much more competitive series than Notre Dame is giving them.
  13. I thought everybody did go? I would guess if MacMillan didn't make the trip he probably stayed back to get in more rehab which wouldn't be a bad thing as well.
  14. Ohio State beats Michigan State 49-37.
  15. Agreed and now Alabama gets the field goal to tie and send it to OT.
  16. I have watched very little of it since they showed an NDSU bball game and postgame interviews instead of one of the outdoor hockey games last winter.
  17. Was thinking Alabama's best chance was to just let LSU score a TD on that 1st play but that unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against LSU makes it a little tougher field goal.
  18. Yeldon just fumbled inside his own 10 for Alabama with under 2 minutes left.
  19. Weird play in the Utah game they were about to go up 14-0 but their player dropped the ball right before he crossed the goal line and for a few seconds everyone thought it was a TD an Oregon player looked at the official and there was no signal so he picked the ball and went 99 yards for the TD to tie it 7-7 instead.
  20. Good sweep even though it was kind of a sloppy game. Not sure how the ice conditions were but the puck really seemed to take some weird bounces and stick on players at times. Wisconsin was able to negate some of the Sioux speed at times with a lot of hooking and holding going uncalled. Watching tonight I can see why Thompson hasn't been in the lineup consistently as he was up and down and needs to find more consistency. I thought it looked like Panzarella hadn't played a game all year as he seemed to struggle with little things like gap control and stick positioning. Maybe it is Pattyn just getting healthier but I thought he had more jump tonight and looked close to what he played like last year. Nick Schmaltz showed just how good his vision is on the pass to Caggiula and good to see Caggiula finish it. Zane was solid again with a couple real athletic saves. I think Olson brings another element to this forward group that we need so hopefully he is back in the lineup Friday night.
  21. A&M wins 41-38. Auburn got a stop and was driving with about a minute left but the center snapped the ball when the QB wasn't ready for it and an A&M DT recovered the fumble.
  22. A&M recovers an Auburn fumble at their own 1 yard line still up 41-38 with 2:37 left.
  23. Arizona State beats Notre Dame 55-31. Auburn is down 41-38 with 4 minutes left but has the ball at the A&M 20.
  24. Texas A&M up 28-14 on Auburn with 10 minutes left in the 2nd quarter hopefully Auburn's luck is finally running out.
  25. Speaking of embarrassed Minnesota did that to Iowa beating them 51-14 Iowa scored on their fist drive and then again with about 20 seconds left. Arizona State jumping on Notre Dame quick 17-3 in the 1st quarter thanks to some turnover help from Notre Dame. Looking forward to some real good games tonight with Ohio State @ Michigan State, Kansas State @ TCU, Alabama @ LSU.
