Jensen robs Nick Schmaltz again and has made some real nice saves since he has come in keeping the game a lot closer than it probably should be.

You get an idea just how good Nick Schmaltz's hands are with a catch and move like that.

The top 2 lines have looked pretty solid so far and definitely skilled. One thing that stood out to me in the first period was the team speed it seems like at least a few guys have gained a couple steps since the end of last season.

It is on Midco but will not be televised on FCS as they are still working on a deal.

That was my first thought with Olson sitting as well and I believe Hak has used this as a punishment in the past as well.

A little surprised to not see Olson or Simonson in there and to see Sanderson in but I kinda wonder if part of the reason Olson isn't in is a little punishment for the drinking citation. Also an interesting defensive pairing of Thompson and Panzarella together.

#8 UCLA lost to Utah so when the weekend of college football was done 5 of the top 8 in the AP poll lost and 11 teams in the top 25 lost.

Total meltdown by Sparty to even let this get close and they came very close to giving up a TD on that last play.

Arizona State wins on a Hail Mary over USC so by the AP poll #2 Oregon, #3 Alabama, #4 Oklahoma, #6 Texas A&M, #14 Stanford, #15 LSU, #16 USC, #17 Wisconsin, and #18 BYU have all lost this week while #19 Nebraska is losing to #10 Michigan State in the 4th and #8 UCLA trails Utah 14-0 in the 2nd quarter at home so we could end up seeing 11 teams in the top 25 lose this week.

Florida State will probably be #1 in both polls already were #1 in the AP poll.

Yeah this is what many figured to be the top 2 lines but it will be interesting to see who the other 2 are tomorrow and who doesn't play. I'm still thinking Pattyn-Gaarder-Olson and Simonson-St.Clair-Poganski while Chyzk and Murphy are the ones who end up being out but there are a lot of different combos Hak could put together with these 8.

Ponder is probably done in the NFL period after this season when his contract is up with the Vikings. He just isn't close to a NFL caliber QB stares down coverage, stares down pressure, horrible decision maker, really struggles with accuracy and not a whole lot of arm strength to go with it.

Even before the renovations there weren't many locker rooms and team lounge areas that were better than the one in The Ralph in college hockey but the renovations just make sure we stay at the very top by ourselves.

Agreed I see the question was asked on the Herald chat and Schloss said since they renovated they couldn't put a new one in. Logos can only be added in the historical context and they have added more jerseys with the logo on, logos in the recruiting room, and kept from renovating some parts to leave logos around the rink and SIOUX PRIDE is still above the doorway when walking out to the bench/ice.
