B1G basically has the two really good teams with Minnesota and Michigan, Notre Dame has had some solid moments in the 2nd half I'd probably take them over Omaha. You think Omaha would finish ahead of Tech? Not sure they would.

Not exactly how you would have drawn up the finish but got the job done. Little too much on our heels in the 3rd. -

2022 Minnesota State Hockey Tournament

If he ends up at Vermont it is an absolute steal by them -
Just an unbelievable run this group is on right now. The roster keeps taking hits and high level hits at that but they just keep finding a way to get the job done. Lot of self improvement from a number of guys this season. The talent level has definitely improved as the year has gone on and that is a credit to the players and coaches for putting the work in. Zach Driscoll is seeing the puck really well right now.

Really fun hockey game. Both goalies made big saves, both teams played with pace and got up and down most of the night, some physical play each way. Guys cashed in on their opportunities, transition game was really good in the 1st. Defensively I thought we got caught a couple times but overall a solid job.

Looks like prepspotlight has both the A and AA quarters for free. In my experience they sometimes have some technical difficulties with their stream freezing and stuff especially with larger audiences so good to see this will be a free stream. Think when I bought the state football stream this fall they ended up refunding everybody for 2 days worth of the quarters because of issues.

No I mentioned in another post I didn't realize Batchelder and Arenholz are scheduled to come in next season. I thought each would have another year of juniors. If they are actually coming in next season that is probably part of the reason they are going where they are.

I do I get to see a lot of Minnesota hockey and I know more about those prospects. I would honestly probably have all those guys you listed above those guys as well. I actually really like the group we have coming this year and it is more a future thing. I do not anticipate Arenholz and Batchelder playing college hockey next season but maybe they will actually get to come in for their respective programs and if that is the case that is probably part of the reason they are going there. Really want to see Blake put on a line with Gaber next season.

I don't know that any were valid anymore, maybe the ST. Thomas one. The Providence offer was this summer and they seemed hard after him for a while he took a visit but they went another way.

Huge huge sweep. Gotta be a big weekend for the pairwise Guys continue to step up step in and contribute Young D keep improving, d zone coverage needs to keep getting better, goal each night just leaving a guy in the slot and d backed in on goalie Puck seemed to be bouncing like crazy could’ve been 2-3 more goals each way

I’d certainly take Gleason at CC and Batchelder and Arenholz as commits, Sarsland too although I think he reopened.

Probably not the primary but a primary like a 1A/1B type thing and it seemed that way in the Hak years. And maybe I shouldn't say metro but more just Minnesota as a whole and then GF/Fargo with the rise in talent in the region would be my primary focus. Off the top of my head TC guys Finley, Blood, Kristo, Gleason, Mattson, Gaarder, Poganski, Boeser, Gersich, Shaw.

And quite frankly it isn't acceptable and it just plain sucks. Definitely going to Minnesota and some Wisconsin with a couple Michigan and Notre Dame mixed in but look at a place like Colorado College and what they are doing in the metro, UNO has got a few as well, and then you have Duluth, Mankato, and St. Cloud. We should be going after and landing some of those types. Not sure if the coaching staff isn't focusing there as much or what but it should be our primary recruiting are.

Really big win last night. Guys continue to step up. Driscoll was solid. The Portz-Ness-Albrecht line gets better and better every week.
-
Schloss has in his notes Cooley was deciding between Minnesota and North Dakota. Another head to head loss. I know Hak was an absolutely relentless recruiter and maybe that is the difference or maybe Hak was just better at closing the deal.
-
Saw that one coming. Minnesota is gonna have some excellent high end forward depth the next few years.

As of now the Gophers have Battle, Ihnen, Fox, Payne, and Thompson for the 4/5 spots next season. Battle is a 3/4, Ihnen a 4, and Fox, Payne, and Thompson 4/5. Maybe they add one more big in the portal after the season. Right now I'd say Fox is the projected started at the 5 while Payne is a really really good incoming player I think they'd lean towards the veteran presence to start.
-
I follow Gopher basketball very closely and that isn't correct. Fox will play quite a bit and will play both the 4 and the 5.

Got the win and the sweep which was a must this weekend. Much more complete performance tonight. Lot of different guys contributing tonight great to see.
