  1. I think a lot of people would take Dell back right about now to stabalize the goaltending position.
  2. 2 big ones I remember were he was slow to release and Howe slid over to stop him on 2 pad stack and I think it was a low Kristo shot Howe kicked rebound into slot and went right past OD and if he catches it he has the same chance as Caggiula did on his 2nd goal.
  3. I thought we created a lot of chances tonight and Howe made some nice saves but we have to find a way to cash in on more of them. The goaltending and powerplay are really the 2 things that let us down tonight and I think it does create a lot of question over who gets the start in the 1st round of NCAAs? I would probably lean towards Zane right now as I think he is better controlling the rebounds and positionally and the biggest reason is I believe he really has a greater ability to steal a game and make a big save on a breakaway the Saunders really hasn't showed recently. I think trust Hak but it just seems like we would be better off with Rodwell in the lineup and OD out and someone else up top with Knight and Kristo. OD has had a number of chances created by Knight and Kristo and a few tonight with basically open nets and couldn't cash in and really seems out of place at times so I wouldn't mind to see a change. I would have loved another matchup with Minnesota but who knows maybe there is one waiting in the NCAAs somewhere as well and while I really wanted to take the win the last real final 5 and 4th straight broadmoor I am okay with the loss in the sense that we can get rested up and ready for a run at Championship #8. We have won the final 5 the last 3 years and it hasn't brought us a whole lot of success in the NCAAs so maybe this is the route that will bring us more NCAA success.
  4. I really don't think thats right but I'll be honest for me my priority was: 1. UND mens hockey game 1, 2, and 3 2. UND womens hockey 3. Everything else
  5. I have it on ESPN 102.3 Denver on the tune-in app.
  6. Solid win tonight snd good all around effort. Clark wasn't really tested but made the saves he needs to make. It was good to see Tate get some time in net and everyone was able to recognize him for his hard work and what he means to this team. We got a couple pretty good bounces that went our way for goals and it has been a few weekends since that had happened as well.
  7. I haven't listened to them for the whole season, can't stand them it felt like my ears were bleeding everytime I've heard one of them talk and had to sync up the TV and radio instead.
  8. I thought he was decent, he was out of position a lot and gave a lot of bad rebounds up but Tech didn't capitalize on them, another major difference I have also noticed between Saunders and Gothberg is Saunders almost never plays the puck and sets it up for the D and how Gothberg does that and is always talking trying to help let the D know where to go with the puck, I feel much more comfortable with Zane in net and hope we see him tonight.
  9. It really seems like some fans only show up after losses just so they can bitch about things. I'm not calling out the people who are here talking about things constructively and what went wrong/right and what we need to do better, but the calls about how we have no leadership, every player sucks, or how great Blais is and how Hak will never win a big one and things like that are really getting sickening. If you want off the bandwagon jump off the rest of the fanbase and the team will be fine without you!
  10. CC forces game 3 with a 2-1 win over Denver
  11. Looks like the Sioux drop to a 5 way tie for 5th in the pairwise with the loss for the time being.
  12. If Grimaldi had a decent ability at being able to finish around the net and on his chances how many goals would he have this season so far? 40 or maybe more?
  13. Pretty frustrating game and really not a real great game, a lot of guys need to bring more energy and intensity. I thought we made the goalie look a lot better than he actually was and at some point guys need to finish. Grimaldi, Gaarder, and Mitch had about 3 or more chances each and didn't do anything with them. Rocco really has to cut down the number of turnovers and giveaways to with the blind passes and just throwing it in front, if there is nothing there he needs to throw it back in the corner and continue cycling the puck. Copley was very shakey early and we let him get more comfortable and didn't take advantage of some of the rebounds he gave. I don't know about anyone else but I feel a lot more comfortable with Zane in the net and wouldn't be at all suprised to see him in tomorrow. I really noticed tonight how Saunders really has trouble with controlling rebounds and seems to be out of position a lot. Regardless of who is in the lineup tomorrow night the guys have to find a way to get it done and come with a lot better play and more intensity.
  14. There are some very good prospects even beyond the big 3 but from what I have been hearing it sounds like many of them are more BCS type guys and there isn't a whole lot of guys projecting at the mid-major level and some that have been projected at that level are starting to rise as well and may end up at BCS schools too.
  15. Mankato game we gave up more high quality shots and made me a little more nervous, last night even when they spent time in our zone I thought we did a pretty good job keeping them outside and not giving up a whole lot of quality shots, but I do get what you are trying to say.
  16. I agree with you and will trust whatever Hak goes with and be fine with it.
  17. The number of shots really isn't a big deal it's the quality of shots that matter and in my opinion we did a pretty decent job of limiting the number of Tech's quality shots.
  18. My opinion for tonight is throw out pretty much the same lineup maybe could put in Caggiula for O'Donnell but it sounds like he has had a couple great weeks of practice, I would also put Mattson back in there tonight for Panz, but I kind of doubt we see that after how physical last nights game was.
  19. I don't know if I would say that, Sioux had a couple of posts early, the shot from the point that sat behind the goalie, and the puck right on the edge of the crease with an open net that someone couldn't tap in.
  20. Kind of a strange game, I'm sure Zane would like to have a couple of those goals back as he made a few real good saves but then gave up the 2 weak goals but I was glad to see the guys bailed him out after he really stole the team a win last week. Tech really looked like a bunch of goons for a while there and really got a lot of stickwork in. I hope Hunt is embarassed at the horrible call he made on Mac, I would expect a very tightly called game from the refs tomorrow after some of what happened tonight. I really thought Techs goalie was pretty shaky too and if we can get a good number of shots on him again we will be fine again tomorrow. All that really matters at this time of the year though...survive and advance!
  21. I'm taking the Sioux in two. 5-1 and 4-2 Minny in two. 5-2 and 4-1 St. Cloud in two. 3-1 and 4-2 Wisconsin in three. 3-2, 2-3, and 2-1 OT CC in three. 5-3, 2-5, and 4-3 Mankato in three. 3-2, 3-4, and 3-2 Which would set up Thursday matchups of Wisconsin vs Mankato and the Sioux vs. CC.
  22. Just never really fit with the Wild, they pretty much already had what he can do. Good for him to get a fresh start and hopefully a chance to get up with the Caps, not real sure on their D situation and how he fits but I would guess better than he did with the Wild.
