  1. But if it is morally and ethically right (your words), why should they wait to show Fighting Sioux gear. Isn't that running from the problem and letting the NCAA win? Why not advocate taking it head on? Why not make the statement upfront and come out with the logo on right away? Following the NCAA mandate and being expressive about how they disagree with it are complete opposite things. If they follow the mandate, you won't see any logos. If they express how they disagree with it, you will. You can't have your cake and eat it to. They hypocrisy of saying how it is moral and ethical to fight the fight and then say that they should follow the mandates until after the tournamnet is over is nothing short of amusing. Again - I am in no way, shape or form advocating that UND should wear their regular season uniforms and make a statement. It would be unfair to the fans, University and more importantly, the student athletes.
  2. If you truly believed this, you would be advocating for the team to wear their normal jersey's this weekend and the University make a very public statement by doing so. Where do you really stand on this? Is it the ethical and moral thing to do like you claim or it is the ethical and moral thing to do unless it causes actual harm, like forfeiting a game? If you say the latter (which is what I'm guessing), then all of your rambling nonsense is just that. You support what you say is the "right thing to do ethically, morally" until it comes time to deal with the consequences of doing it. The majority of people around here understand that consequences are not worth keeping the name and logo whether it is the right thing to do or not. Most people know when to cut their losses. Others keep yelling that there will be no losses, but when they show up, just pretend they aren't a big deal and they just keep hoping that something might change despite no evidence indicating they will. If you really believed it was about ethics and morals, then you would be calling for them to wear their regular season uniforms and accept the consequences. Note - I am in no way, shape or form advocating that UND should wear their regular season uniforms and make a statement. It would be unfair to the fans, University and more importantly, the student athletes.
  3. Frozen Four vs. Regionals maybe?
  4. The other sports have more serious issues than jerseys. Hosting a home playoff game is more important than what logo is on the jersey you are wearing.
  5. If the women's tournament is any indication, don't expect the men to be able to take a program home with their picture in it. I would assume the men's team photo includes them in the jersey with the logo on it like the women's did. The NCAA deemed that to be inappropriate and excluded the picture from the program, I would expect to see the same this weekend. Not really a big deal, just another small one in the continuous list of items that will keep piling up.
  6. Any update on this?
  7. Looks like they stocked up: http://twitter.com/#...9680384/photo/1

    Jerseys

Not that I wouldn't past the NCAA to enforce, but doesn't the settlement agreement only apply to jersey's (this would include helmets and breezers I would assume)? Sticks seems like something that would be taking it a little far. On a related note, do either Dell or Eidsness have the logo anywhere on their helmet/masks?
  9. It will most likely be right around 9,000. Probably a little bit more attended than last year's home opener, but I think with the opponent and it being on a Thursday night, it won't be much more than that. Hopefully the team puts on a little bit of a show and attendance will top 10,000 the following week against Portland State.
  10. 9-17 at the line for UND, 21-27 for Drake. Free throw work in the offseason boys! Overall, good season for UND, they came on strong at the end. If they can be a little more consistent on the road next year, they could be a factor in the Big Sky!
  11. UND takes the lead!
  12. The way its looking, might be OK. Down 13-2.
  13. Worked for me after refreshing as well. No sound and very choppy though.
  14. Nothing here either. ESPN Gamecast shows UND down 6-2 four minutes in.
  15. UND is showing up as about a 12 point underdog. Not entirely surprising considering their (lack of) success on the road this year. I'm thinking it ends up being close than that though.
  16. They (moniker supporters) are as blind to why they are getting support from NDSU folks as they are to true motives of Al Carlson/Rob Port. They are being played like pawns and either don't know or don't care.
  17. Or just say our game, our rules. Play by the ones you've agreed to or leave. It is beyond me why you and others think that the NCAA is all of the sudden just going to change their mind? They are a private organization. The members make the rules and UND is in the minority.
  18. More games against better competition? Yes, UND had a weaker schedule and that is part of the reason why their Sagarin ratings are so low, but: UND went 2-3 against teams in the NCAA tournament (SDSU, Montana / SDSU, Kansas, New Mexico). If I'm not mistaken NDSU was 0-2 against teams in the NCAA tournament (SDSU x2). NDSU was terrible after their loss to UND. The players weren't even around Fargo to practice this week, a couple of them are meeting the rest of the team on the way to Wyoming. No one expected them to get an invite to any kind of tournament, including the players and coaches.
  19. UND with the comeback. Wow. On to NJIT. Beat them by 17 at home, lost to them by 15 on the road. Should be a good game.
  20. Makes both.
  21. Anderson going to the line. Double bonus. 75% on the year.
  22. Basket UTPA, 2 point game, UND ball. Going to come down to free throws. Yikes...
  23. And its good. UND by 4, 16 seconds to go.
  24. AND 1. UND by 3 with a free throw coming, under 20 seconds to go.
  25. UND up by 1 with the ball, 40 seconds left and 29 left on the shot clock.
