  1. Maybe you should start donating money instead of sitting on message board and complaining.
  2. Is that for the 2013-2014 school year? Last year (2012-2013 school year) NDSU gave out $17,954,644 in tuition waivers to 3,892 students (25.1% of students received some type of waiver) up from 2011-2012 when they gave out $17,686,007 to 3,697 students. These numbers have grown ever year. For comparison, UND gave out $8,945,326 in waivers to 2,022 students in 2012-2013 (12.1% of students recieved a waiver of some sort). In 2011-2012, UND handed out $8,683,064 to 2023 students. Note that a portion of these are not controllable by the schools themselves and there are valid reasons for some tuition waivers. Edit - Some of the tuition charged/collected data doesn't quite match-up with what the chart says (though close), working on updating that properly
  3. There has been absolutely zero indications of a MVFC invite. The eastern teams were given considerations to allow USD in, I can't imagine they would be thrilled about adding another western team.
  4. Fixed for accuracy.
  5. Clarification, USD was already in the Summit at the time but had decided on leaving for the sake of their football team, he was only able to keep them by getting the MVFC to extend a last minute invite for them (guessing that is what you're referencing, just wanted to clear it up for others).
  6. They showed interest in baseball, Douple wasn't interested (because why would he want to help himself?). You also aren't addressing the football aspect either.
  7. I would wait to see what Douple has up his sleeve before I get too excited.

My hope is that people are actually expressing their opinions and feelings to the athletic department so that they understand this. Not pointing this to you at all, but some of the loudest critics of Mussman haven't or won't even consider actually contacting Faison or someone in the athletic department to voice their concerns. Complaining on a message board won't do anything, calling the athletic department and reasonably voicing your opinion will.

I can agree on that. A two year extension with the one year remaining, giving him three more years would have been ideal in my mind. My guess is the extra year was added on due to the low increase in pay, not putting as much risk on UND.

Please explain how he screwed up the extension.

Fair point. At this level, I don't see a large benefit to firing your coach mid-season unless there are off the field issues as well. I've said all along that IF Mussman is let go, it will be at the end of the season.

Was just trying to figure out the correlation between him being fired and them giving scholarships.

Call it out of context if you want, but they were your words and they were quite contradicting.

They also are in a league where the rest of the schools don't offer scholarships (currently). He was 3-40 in his 4 years there.

There is a lot of truth in this, but the last paragraph should hold true regardless of your thoughts on the coaching staff. At this point, I think a change should be made, though I won't be completely surprised if one isn't for a few various reasons. I am disappointed with the season and expect better, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to renew my season tickets and attend games to support UND. There will be room on the bandwagon when things get better, there always is.

  18. Pretty cool picture. Mind letting inquiring minds know what program(s) you used to make that?

You keep saying that but it isn't true. Brian Faison's e-mail address and phone number are publicly available. He is also very approachable at many of the events he attends.

Anyone can contact the AD by phone or e-mail or even walk up and speak to him at many of the events he's at. That is not limited to donors, former players, etc and it may actually lead to some change or at least provides actual input. Bringing a sign like that to a game is not done to make your voice heard (and it won't have any effect), it is a "look at me, I need attention" move. Starting to feel a lot like someone who's appeared with multiple user names and worn out his welcome each time.
  21. He was battling multiple injuries last year. The year before, when he was healthier, he shot a ridiculous 68.2% from the field. That was 5th in the nation. Brekke never has been a shot blocker though. I hope those other three are great this year, the problem is Traylor played all of 8 games last year and Salmonson and Cacaterra didn't play any, nor did Nash for that matter. I have no clue what to expect from any of them. I know what a healthy Brekke would provide though.
  22. He's a career 62% shooter, pretty good even for a big man. And that is after a pretty good drop off last yearwhile he was battling injuries. And he's been playing with these guys for 3+ years, lots of familiarity. I think the issue with the other bigs is no one knows what to expect from them.
  23. Was unaware of the 11 players traveling, very good insight. For some reason I always assumed that there were 12 on the bench, never knew that they limited i tto only 11 that travel.
  24. Disagree 100%. You don't pull that kind of experience off the court in a season where you are basically going "all-in". Not sure I agree with pulling Hooker's red-shirt, but if Brekke isn't going to be able to play and Stefan isn't going to get a waiver, you could run with a pretty small line-up and play a lot of up and down basketball.

Luke has done a tremendous job on the recruiting side in Illinois. Bartels, Kuska, and Golladay have already shown they can contribute now. Reyes, Palandech, Sharp, Cheatom and Norberg look like they have some very good potential as well.
