Does the fact that 82SiouxGuy presents his arguments in a level-headed, thought out way rather than with a knee-jerk, reactionary, scorch the earth way bother you? For example, all those that were complaining about how much money the REA does (or doesn't) give to UND. The suggestion was made by more than a few people that the information was available if you really wanted it. And lo and behold it was. All it took was a simple phone call to Jody Hodgson and the mystery was solved after how many pages of complaining that no one knew what the number was, just that it wasn't enough. Complaining on a message board doesn't solve anything other than maybe making you feel better. Actually taking some initiative to get real answers or voice concerns to people who actually make decisions isn't that hard. Because someone suggests that, makes them a pariah apparently. And the "Father Knows Best" line is pretty amusing coming from the guy who wrote a 5 page manifesto on all that is wrong with UND athletics while using the demolition of an old building that hasn't been used for a decade to make room for a state of the art athletics facility as one of the main problems.

Ticketmaster "convenience" fees.

Presale for Champions Club members starts at 10 a.m.

It would be nice if someday they finished off the ends and made it into a real bowl, but due to its use as a practice facility, I don't ever see that happening. Likely will end up using the Ralph if/when necessary. Larger movable bleachers is definitely a more realistic option. And video boards. Add some that fold up and down and they will stay out of the way when the building is being used for other things.

They even sell a package to attend all 4! But yeah, those are the best 4 games. The OOC schedule isn't all that great with only 4 homes games and two of them against lower level opponents (NDSU and SDSU are the other two). Looking forward, UNO owes UND a return game from Bracketbusters last year and there is a connection with Denver, so wouldn't be surprised to see them on the schedule in the future. Though I know it is tough to do, it would be nice to see some non-Summit teams on the schedule a few more more home OOC games.

Anderson, Webb and Huff named tri-captains for the year.

Well, half the arm-chair QB's on here wanted to see Bartels, they will get their wish. If the line can hold up, both guys will look OK. If it looks like the end of the game last week, yikes....
-
Still no response to this Dan? Why the sudden change of heart by the Athletic Department?
-
I thought you were all for people being able to discuss things?
-
Ugh....
-
Quite the turnaround by the athletic department in less than a weeks time and less than 2 weeks before the first home game, specifically citing something that happened in January among other things even though there had been multiple communications since then. I mean, haven't these girls been through enough, now they are being drug through the mud in the media....?

Per UNDSports.com:
-
That is a lot to put on a rFR QB with a line and running game that have been below average at best along with the coaches seemingly trying to protect him by not allowing him to run the ball.

Still trying to pose as a UND fan?
-
Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but here is what ESPN's preview of UND said:
-
And if 2 successful QB's can't get into a rhythm rotating, I don't see a happy ending with two inexperienced QB's rotating. I will say I'm surprised that Bartels hasn't got another shot in some of the past few games though.
-
I would guess nothing on the bolded part since Bartels was named the starter after the Valpo game and Molberg only came in because Bartels was getting knocked around. On the switching QB's part, Mussman got absoutely blasted on this board last year for doing that exact thing (albeit with two much more game-ready QB's).
-
Fair point though I don't think they rotated when Hendrickson was in and in my post I was more referring to who would be protecting the blind side of Molbert/Bartels.

Per that list, after the Minnesota Morris game, UND's next 6 games are against the teams ranks 10-37-130-33-162-74. Lots of chances to make some noise. NDSU has a pretty good schedule as well with games against teams that are ranked 42-51-26-7 (not all in a row). NDSU will have four games plus an exhibition under their belt while UND will have only played two when they meet up. The UND game will be their 4th in 10 days with games in California-Fargo-Kalamzaoo and then Grand Forks.

A lot of it will come down to health, the depth just isn't there on mid-major teams, especially senior heavy ones like UND/NDSU. We saw how UND looked last year when Brekke and Huff were out. NDSU struggled when Braun was hurt too. That being said, #37 vs #197 is a pretty big stretch.
-
Last years the normal starting line was from left to right Lynch-Anderson-McGurran-Gillson-Deneui though there were some other starters due to injuries. This year it is Kleason-Anderson-Walker-Meehan-Barton/Deneui So you have a new left tackle, who protects the QB's blindside and a new center, who calls the protections for the line (and replacing a guy who had started every game for 4 years) on top of having a new RG. Yeah, sounds pretty much the same.
-
Might want to go back and check your facts on that one.
-
If I could actually find an NDSU fan who cared about basketball I'd assume they'd feel the same way. Here I thought you'd be back to talk about your women's programs you were just bragging about a few months ago, how's that going for you?
-
Not saying some players didn't get minors, I'd actually be more surprised if a couple actually didn't, but a couple weeks ago one of our NDSU friends went through and looked and didn't come with anything. Take it for what it is worth. It hasn't been on the front page for minors, again, there was at least a handful not reported this spring even though I know that Caillou and Izzo were aware of them.
-
Sounds like it is being addressed the exact same way the NDSU MIP's this spring were addressed.
