I'm not so sure on the 2nd part of your comment. The plan has always been to leave that for the possibility and hope of football returning to campus someday (though a long ways off at this point in time). I can't think of anything else they would logically put there. As for construction, I understand that Phase 1 and 2 can be done separately with no issues or together with no interruption. Hopefully seeing actual progress will encourage people to donate a little more and get everything completed as quickly as possible. If the weather cooperates, we should be seeing progress very soon.

Night classes are essential to a lot of students, particularly non-traditional ones. I would venture to guess the effect of night classes, particularly since all hockey games and all but one football game are on the weekend, is minimal at best.

I think you'd be able to have a pretty good idea of who is getting some scholarship money and who isn't but the tough part would be knowing who has partials and how much of a partial they are getting (1/4, 1/2, 3/4's, etc).

This whole thing is a dumb argument, but I know that UND has had players sit out football games for missing classes.

I think this would be a lot tougher to decipher for FCS teams due to how scholarships are allowed to be split. FBS teams have 85 scholarships and are allowed to give partial's, but it will still count as a whole scholarship towards their total of 85 (so no real point in giving partials). FCS teams are allowed 63 scholarships and are allowed to give partials, with a max of 85 student-athletes receiving scholarships. The overall limit is that no more than 95 players can participate in practice prior to the school's first day of classes or first game, whichever comes first. After that date, the participation limitation is removed. So if your 63 scholarships are spread among the max of 85 players, you can have no more than 10 walk-ons at the beginning of fall camp, though the number could be more if scholarships are spread among the max of 85.

Tom Miller saying series will be renewed but 2014 in Vermillion isn't correct. USD plays NAU in 2014 instead. Very strange. USD's schedule is now full for 2014. If the game is actually 2015 instead, UND's schedule would then be full for that year. Since USD in 2014 is wrong, UND currently has 1 game to be scheduled in both 2014 (if UND wants to play 12 games) and 2015 (10 scheduled, only 11 allowed). Wonder what the thoughts are for 2014. Currently sitting at 5 home games and 6 away games. Would be nice if a 12th game is scheduled, it would be a home game, but with the scheduling problems teams are having, getting the away part of a home and home (with substantial buyout ) would be understandable but not ideal, especially considering fans are getting 7 home games this year. Missouri State almost has to be a home/home.

The contract was for 2015 in Fargo and 2017 in Grand Forks only.

Both teams have week 3 of the season open (Sept 19th). 2015 was always the most tossed around year for the series to restart.

Oregon doesn't put the brakes on either. Would definitely be a fun place to go watch a game though.

UND will travel to USD in 2014 per Jeremy Hoeck of the Yankton Press. I assume it has to be the front end of a home and home agreement. Nice, close OOC game. Guess we get to see how UND stacks up against MVFC teams in back to back weeks as UND plays Missouri State the week before. This also gives UND 12 games for 2014 but only 5 home games. Good OOC schedule with San Jose State, Robert Morris and the two MVFC teams. Homes games will be Robert Morris, Montana (for 3rd year in a row), Portland State, Weber State and Northern Arizona. Not sure on USD's 2015 schedule, but UND has the 3rd week of the season for an OOC game. USD's inon-conference schedule is impressive in 2014: Oregon, Montana, UND. Anyone have any idea on the Missouri St game? I don't recall seeing that on the schedule before but could be wrong. Is it part of some sort of home/home? I can't imagine they paid us money to play one game there.

I am specifically talking about Matt Greene. His donation is listed on the Donors page on the Spirit Campaign website under "Major Gifts: $25,000 - $99,999 [A-G]". Learn to read.

My argument was never hockey players, yours was. You are the one that differentiates them, not me. Regardless, Matt Greene is absolutely on the list of donors to the Spirit campaign along with a specific page detailing his donation to the Spirit campaign, which I linked to. And again, the Spirit donation list isn't an all inclusive donation list. You have no idea what other donations hockey players have given back to the University, you just assume they haven't. Edit: You were trying to make this same argument last August and Matt Greene's donation was pointed out to you then. Seriously??

Are you sure you read the list? Matt Greene is on there and he has signed a multi-million dollar contract. I included former athletes and not just hockey players because I don't really differentiate. Kleinsasser is an easy example of a former athlete that gives back to UND. That list isn't an all-inclusive donor list either, that is just for the Spirit campaign, just because they aren't on that list doesn't mean they haven't given back. Also, many of the guys who have signed the big contracts are still young, I don't think it is a stretch that in the future we will see their names on donor lists as well as they get older.
