  1. Calm down there tiger...
  2. Well at least now that the freshman are on campus they have enough players to field a team, so they have that going for them...
  3. No date listed but they will be handing them out at Football Fanfest sometime next week per David Primus
  4. I understand the frustration from that view point, but from a business decision on the athletic department side, getting those guaranteed sales makes a lot of sense. Plus, how many tickets were sold in the various presales that occurred over the last few days? I don't think the number of season tickets has changed.
  5. I don't see them selling them. Probably give them away at the Football Fanfest (haven't heard any announcements on a date for that yet though) along with being able to pick them up at the Hyslop.

    2013 Season

A lot of their confidence seems to be related to getting their QB back, who from all accounts was a game-changer when he was on the field. We'll see how he handles a year off the field. I think UM will be better than last year particularly on offense, but I also think UND will be better on the defense. I see UND's offsense taking a small step back, especially at the beginning of the year.
  7. Coming soon??
  8. Knew it couldn't last. Almost made it 5 hours though!
  9. Duluth proper is just under 90,000. Their MSA covers quite a large area.
  10. First time for everything. And yet I have a hard time believing that you will stick to that.
  11. You spent $130 + a donation to the Jackrabbit club on season tickets when single game tickets were and still are available?
  12. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Not sure how it plays into it, but the color on the jersey is definitely yellow. Notre Dame wears gold.
  13. It wasn't 75% NDSU despite what you think.
  14. I'd love to see the source on 16k in Frisco. The majority of the crowd was NDSU but it wasn't 75%.
  15. Not going to throw any kids under the bus from either school, but there is a whole lot of things not included in either post, particularly MIP/MIC's..
  16. I actually wasn't directing my post at you. I understand what you are saying (maybe a little harsh, but I get your underlying reasoning). I was more referring to those that would prefer all sports but hockey be shut down or turned into club teams.
  17. If they had the rights to any hockey, they would have an incentive to promote it instead of bury it or not show any highlights at all. Chicken/egg situation, but there is a definite correlation between what they can broadcast and what they show highlights for.
  18. I'm not so certain UND had the funds in place at the time to support a move. I'm also not sure that NDSU did either, but they took a leap of faith and it worked out well for them.
  19. It isn't an issue with being a fan of hockey only, its the fans who put down every other sport as not being important and dismiss those student-athletes as second or third rate (not directing this at you). That's fine that you don't enjoy any basketball, there are sports UND participates in that I am not all that interested in either, but I still support those student-athletes and hope they excel both on and off the field (again not directing at you personally). There is definitely a subset that not only could care less about other sports outside of hockey, but are vocal that they are unimportant to the athletic department and university as a whole. The nickname issue showed a definite divide as some were all for keeping the nickname because it wouldn't effect the hockey team all that much but had the possibility of being devasting to the rest of the athletic department and because of that, were fine with keeping the nickname and sanctions that came with it.
  20. Don't really care either way, but all three of the hockey games were neutral sites vs one of the three football games. Also a longer layoff for planning travel for the football championship. Comparison isn't all that valid.
  21. @SiouxFootball @CatGrizInsider
  22. Just curious where you got those numbers. I had been looking for something similar a while back and wasn't able to find anything.
  23. If you think the general sports following population gives a second thought to either of them other than flash-in-the-pan moments, you're kidding yourself.
  24. George Mason, Boston U, Bradley, any of the Cal State's, Creighton, Denver, DePaul, Gonzaga, George Washington, Marquette, NYU, Seton Hall, Wichita State, Xavier, etc, etc, etc.... Plus, 50% of your main conference doesn't sponsor football as well, along with quite a few teams who have left it behind.
