I wouldn't be shocked. Disappointed and somewhat surprised though. This thread will be a !@#$ show though...

Wait, what? Not possible. Good thing the Summit added UNO, they are the only team with an OOC D-1 win this year (a nice one against NIU and another against former Summit member UMKC). 2-13 on the year for the conference. Big Sky not fairing a whole lot better, are 3-7 on the year.

The KC Star lists him as signing yesterday along with some stuff on Twitter including the picture below:
-
You could be right, maybe they just haven't put them together yet. I just assumed they'd announce them all at the end of the day yesterday or this morning. Must just be taking their time.
-
Pretty certain that Crandall and Cashman both signed their NLI yesterday. Anyone know why UND hasn't put out any press releases for all the kids that signed yesterday? I know there was a handful in other sports, just wondering why nothing has been released yet.
-
I believe Strand, Swatzke and Buckley all signed their NLI's yesterday.

You were talking about NDSU surpassing UND (I assumed in athletics since this whole thing is about how great the Summit is). My question was what is UND's head to head record with NDSU in Summit sponsored sports.

I'm starting to come around about Hooker playing this year. He will definitely contribute this year but it gets him some experience with these guys because he's going to have to step up big next year. Will be a lot easier to do with a full season under his belt rather than sitting on the bench redshirting.

What's the head to head record in Summit sponsored sports the last 3 years?

Patty V answers to what the MVC wants, she is the Senior Associate Commissioner of that league along with running the MVFC. Which one do you think is more important to her? As for balance of powers, the MVFC is currently made up of 5 MVC teams, 4 Summit teams and YSU. Adding another Summit team gives the Summit equal footing for voting purposes. And Patty is on record saying she didn't like unbalanced scheduling, why would she advocate for adding another team to further get away from that? Saying it doesn't make it true. The conferences are historically very near each other in the RPI rankings, switching who is ahead from year to year. The Summit has been ahead the last couple years, but losing two of its best basketball schools isn't going to help that. The tournament committee obviously doesn't see much of a difference as neither has sniffed a second bid and the conference champions continue to be ranked near each other in the NCAA tournament.

Wonder if UND is playing small ball because of the opponent or if it is something we will be seeing a lot of this year. Lack of production from the bigs concerns me, hopefully they work on it a little bit the 2nd half. Antwi shooting very well. Sounds like he spent a lot of time in the gym in the offseason.

Better league based on what? And why would the MVC want to even out the balance of powers for the Summit teams in the MVFC? They already are opposed to traveling west the way it is. Patty V was also on record saying that 9 was the ideal conference size because it allowed for a balanced schedule. Adding USD made for an unbalanced schedule, but only 1 extra time. Why would they want to add another team to further unbalance the schedule? Douple let UND's app sit there for how long before he even gave it a look, which coincidentally is right around the same time that the Big Sky started showing interest.. And for a second there I thought you last sentence was how NDSU got into the Mid-Con after getting rejected by the Big Sky multiple times.

Good webcast quality on Big Sky TV.

With the style that Wisconsin tries to play, I see a relatively close game the whole way.
-
That is crap that you just made up. Where have you seen anyone remotely related with the program indicate that is even close to their mindset? These guys are fully expecting to go into Madison and knock off the Badgers. Odds are against them, sure, but I'd love to see you tell them that is what they are thinking/hoping to their faces.

This team has been together long enough and has enough talent that they should be in almost every game and has the capability to pull off an upset, regardless of opponent. The only two things that worry me are Brekke not being able to play and the lack of experience that may have to be relied upon with the new foul rules.

Football =/= Athletic Department despite what the FU faithful will tell you.

How is UNI's WBB team this year?

Really? You need to get your stories straight....

Maybe you should start donating money instead of sitting on message board and complaining.

Is that for the 2013-2014 school year? Last year (2012-2013 school year) NDSU gave out $17,954,644 in tuition waivers to 3,892 students (25.1% of students received some type of waiver) up from 2011-2012 when they gave out $17,686,007 to 3,697 students. These numbers have grown ever year. For comparison, UND gave out $8,945,326 in waivers to 2,022 students in 2012-2013 (12.1% of students recieved a waiver of some sort). In 2011-2012, UND handed out $8,683,064 to 2023 students. Note that a portion of these are not controllable by the schools themselves and there are valid reasons for some tuition waivers. Edit - Some of the tuition charged/collected data doesn't quite match-up with what the chart says (though close), working on updating that properly

There has been absolutely zero indications of a MVFC invite. The eastern teams were given considerations to allow USD in, I can't imagine they would be thrilled about adding another western team.
-
Fixed for accuracy.
-
Clarification, USD was already in the Summit at the time but had decided on leaving for the sake of their football team, he was only able to keep them by getting the MVFC to extend a last minute invite for them (guessing that is what you're referencing, just wanted to clear it up for others).
