  1. I wonder how many inaccuracies one person can have in a single post?
  2. Clearly that list has only one name and it is Dean Blais...
  3. There was 261 ticket left as of this morning.
  4. Truth. I'd say odds are better than 50% that his choice is someone that hasn't been mentioned or only in passing.
  5. Box score said Webb for 18 and Hooker for 24. Hooker exceeded my expectations last night, he is going to be fun to watch. Didn't think that Webb played that many minutes last night, didn't seem like he was out there as much.
  6. You don't think that the guy they put in charge in the interim is doing something along those lines?
  7. The good news is Bjorklund likely won't take a shot outside of the lane, so don't have to worry about that. He's got a nice touch and doesn't miss much when he gets the ball in position though. I'm assuming Huff guards Braun like he did two years ago, that will be a great match-up to watch. Huff frustrated him something fierce drawing a technical out of him at the Ralph two years ago. So far this year it looks like NDSU remains a good defensive team and a streaky offensive team. Their offense is kind of a mess to watch but I expect them to give it to Bjorklund early and often. Nash and Wright should also be a pretty good match-up of two tall, lanky athletic dudes. Anderson/Webb/Hooker need to lock down Alexander and hope that Felt doesn't get in a rhythm.
  8. UND couldn't match up with Wisconsin's height, not only Kaminsky but Dekker too. Not sure what you can do besides shake your head when their 7' center shoots 6-6 from 3 point land and their power forward drives, dribbles behind his back to split the defenders and finishes with a dunk. Brekke was missed big time, couldn't prevent them from getting the ball into the post the majority of the time. UND got them to play up and down, just didn't expect them to shoot almost 60% from the field. Interesting tidbit, from what I can see, Wisconsin hasn't given up 85 points since 2010-2011 (at #1 Ohio St). They haven't given up 85 points at home since 2005-2006 vs EKU (89 in double overtime).
  9. Don't use logic with Dan.
  10. I would assume it is listed as an alternative for NFL experience.
  11. Could be but BB doesn't (quite) meet the first bullet of preferred qualifications as I believe he only has 1 year as a position coach. I don't think there are any qualifications that wouldn't be pretty standard on almost any FCS job opening.
  12. Faison has shown he is willing to do that, so I'm not concerned about that part of it. I would expect the contract to have multiple bonus aspects related to attendance and performance, seems to be more and more common and rightfully so.
  13. If UND can defend the post efficiently without Brekke, I think that the OOC schedule will be entertaining. If they struggle to keep teams from pounding it down low and dominating the boards, conference play won't come soon enough. Tough to get a read on the team from only one game so far against a team from a lower level. Also, I expect big things from Huff tonight playing in his home state and a little over an hour from home.
  14. Yet you complain you don't make enough to donate? Or are you donating again? Not sure how anyone can keep your stories straight since you can't.
  15. His open record requests have already been sent
  16. Correct. Complaining of state money being used for it. Already been mentioned more than once on FU's message board.
  17. Not sure if it has been mentioned already, but the assistant coaches will remain on staff as their contracts run through the end of the year. They are free to apply elsewhere and could apply with the new coach if they wanted. New main contact for football is strength coach Nate Baukol. (hat tip to @TomMillerGF).
  18. This isn't going to happen, not sure why you are so hung up on it. Have to follow state hiring guidelines. Position has to be publicly posted for set amount of time (can't remember off the top of my head), etc.
  19. @waynenelsongf I can't wait to hear the revisionist history on this.... Also, speculation by Wayne Nelson is that new coach will be hired sometime in December. His twitter (@WayneNelsonGF) has a pretty good break down of their talk with Faison.
  20. Concur that the writing was on the wall and what was done needed to be but I would like to thank Chris for his contributions. He joined the football program in 1999 and helped lead it to its only national championship. He took over as head coach when it wasn't a very appealing position with transition, nickname issues and not having a conference. In the end, the on the field results were not where they need to be and I think the Muss would be the first in line to agree. He did a pretty good job in keeping players out of the news for the wrong reason, one thing that isn't an easy task and speaks well to him as a person. Good luck in the future coach.

    Fire Muss

He said "no comment" a whopping one time that I've seen reported and it was immediately after the football game. I fully expect something from him very soon, likely this afternoon or tomorrow morning one way or another. I'd expect a press conference if there will be a change and just a comment to one of the Herald's writers if there will be no change.

    Fire Muss

You said we would lose out on a head coach, recruits, transfers, etc if he wasn't fired by 5 pm today. That's a little over the top. The majority of candidates that would apply still have at least one week left in their season. I do think that if something is going to be done, it needs to be sooner than later and I'm guessing a decision has been made one way or another (likely a while back) so there is no point to delay announcing it. If he is going to be around another year, than it makes sense to make a statement reaffirming that, otherwise you have potential recruits not knowing if they will be playing for the guy actually recruiting them.

    Fire Muss

Firing Mussman in the middle of the season would have accomplished absolutely nothing. You do realize there is still a week left in the regular season right? Please explain how your last sentence makes any sense?
