I disagree. Most people who were saying he wasn't going to be let go were talking about him being fired during the season. I'm 100% confident regardless of how the rest of the season turns out, Jones will not be let go for on the court performance before next season.

Jones will still be here, so you can drop that part of it. UND loses a lot next year but the cupboard is by no means empty. PG - Tyler/Hooker SG/SF - Antwi/Stefan/Benton PF/C - Calcaterra/Salmonson/Shanks Haven't seen enough of Blake or Hobaugh to know what they can bring to the table. Would think that Crandall will redshirt, might need Cashman to play. Need to replace a lot of scoring but our guard play along with Stefan's shooting will be OK. Watched Tyler play a few times when he was at UMKC, he's going to fill in nicely. Expecting to see at least 1 if not 2 JuCo's though. Probably a slasher and a big.

I couldn't agree more, drives me absolutely bonkers. And its not even from game to game. They play the whole game like they played the majority of the second half last night and they run MSU out of the gym. But they don't.

They played some pretty good defense and showed some serious intensity for about 2/3's of the second half. I don't understand where that was the rest of the game. This team is an enigma. They have the talent to play with anyone and show it for stretches and then they just regress into something that is unrecognizable. I can live with getting beat on the boards, especially when our best line-up is 4 guards and a big, but you can't get continuously beat on the offensive boards like they did last night. Credit to MSU, they made a handful of bailout shots or drew a foul with less than 5 on the shot clock. Both of those are frustrating to see the opposing team do. Be interesting to hear what Jones has to say today. Still standing by my prediction of at least 6 wins in the last 9 games (currently 1-1).

The MVC has a decent chance of getting two teams in. The Horizon will get its autobid and will be seated lower.

UND can't do anything right. MSU hitting all kinds of shots and grabbing boards when they do. UND looks nothing like they have the last month. MSU getting lax and UND is making a min-run to try and make it interesting....

My understanding is as long as he doesn't appear in any game action, he doesn't burn a year of eligibility regardless of traveling/dressing/etc. And not saying that he will be a star in 5 years, but finding someone willing to properly fill that 3rd goalie role can be tough at times. Not sure what the staff's plan for him is at this point, but if Zane is close to coming back, I can't see the purpose of burning a year of eligibility for 10 minutes in a game that was out of reach. I think it is comparable to football where certain red-shirted players dress for games, but as long as they don't play, it doens't count against them. Two years ago in football, UND was one QB injury away from having to burn a red-shirt, with the player on the sidelines ready to go if necessary, but it never happened and the player retained his redshirt status.
